I heard that too but by the time I set down my frosty beverage and got off my fat a$$ and got out on the deck it was to high and up in the clouds. Maybe it was that 747 thats been out there for a while. Just sayin.

There was a CF18 flying around earlier this afternoon around 3:00-3:30. I know that’s earlier than what you heard but could be related.

Could have been a CF18 or a trainer, they stop off in Kelowna every once in a while. KF Aerospace also has a couple of 727s they're working on, they're nice and loud as well.

some kind of military jet, saw it come in for a landing at ylw twice from the north this afternoon, noisy as hell, probably a cf 18

Probably in to pick up some cherries!
You can pack quite a lot of fruit into them. A family member stationed in Cold Lake flew into Kelowna on a training mission several years ago. One of the cooks on the base heard they were coming to Kelowna and said peaches should be good so grab as much as you can and he would whip up fresh peach pies when they got back. I forgot how many pounds he bought, was 8 good size boxes and took them a bit to get them all stored away in the 3 CF-18's. All made it safely back to Cold Lake.
