If you can imagine I took over thirty paint cans to the recycle place. One had this " Industrial Coating Technology" on the label. It is a high quality oil base paint

The stund kid who was working their pulled the can aside. That will cost you $12.00 to dispose of this one.

Why I asked and he stated it is for industrial use. I told him that this is why people place paint cans in black garbage bags and throw them into the landfill.

I'm not sure how he came to the conclusion he did.

IF it stated "Industrial use only" I could see how he might think so. IF I was from a commercial company, maybe then again but why?? Would we rather not do the right thing, or just toss these into a back alley as they do now in Vancouver and area.

I will remove the lid let it solidify and then it is garbage.

I got a warning letter about a week ago because the spandex dicks pedaling their bikes up the hill feel my recycle bin is a good place for their water and Gatorade bottles :cuss: I may just start burning my garbage instead

Got a letter the other day warning us about soft plastic in our recycling. It included a really blurry photo of our recycling going into the truck. How they saw plastic in there was beyond me so I wondered if they were referring to the actual blue recycling bags themselves. Can anyone answer this? Are we supposed to dump the boxes, cans, etc out of the recycling bags and into the bin?

I wonder what kind of mess will be created when I dump my shredded waste, on a windy day.

If there is something that may not be acceptable for the recycle bin then just put it in a black bag and toss it in the garbage bin.

Funny, the blue bags used to be garbage. Now when I recycle at the dump they say they can be re-cycled. Wonder if that is a fact, I'd check into it to make sure. It seems thew rules change and no one is informed!

Let us take lessons from the master. Bpeep has figured out how to beat the system.

I see folks in my area are now dropping off their trash into a garbage barrel near a waterfowl attraction. Nice. Now, when the lunch crowd shows up with their McD's and KFC containers (dropped on the ground, 5 steps too far to put in the barrel) there's no space left for those of us who pick up after the morons.

What (*bleep*) is wrong with peeps?
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.
