The premise of any of these campaigns is awareness not 100% adherence. As long as they get the point across to some people then they have done what the intent was.

Even if we had a Cop on every corner there would still not be 100% compliance with traffic laws.

Same as there will never be 100% agreement on any forum topic.

IMHO, this is Very dangerous. someone will swerve or just out right hit the brakes. Are there any stats on PP for 2010? as in, accidents caused by PP?

I'm pretty sure that every driver is aware of the speed limit in school zones ...

Even if we had a Cop on every corner there would still not be 100% compliance with traffic laws.

Agreed . how ever I think there would be more drivers that would " get the point " and become MORE "aware" if they were hit with a fine and demerit points..

But those are just my thought . Nothing anyone can say will change them and I don't see a need to debate them like some do .

Same as there will never be 100% agreement on any forum topic.

Agreed  :D

Then why, try and tell the police how, where, why, what and when they should be doing their jobs ?

I'll answer that question when you answer this one .... Please stand by

Are you telling me that a sticker on the road will do more to bring "awareness" to people not paying attention than a punitive monetary penalty AND driver demerit points on a drivers record for 5 years ??

You didn't answer that one ..

I'll ask again ..Are you telling me that a sticker on the road will do more to bring"awareness" to people not paying attention than a punitive monetary penalty AND driver demerit points on a drivers record for 5 years ???

You would have to ask that question of someone that has actually received a ticket.
Since I abide by all of the traffic laws, and have no accidents or tickets, I can't tell you the answer to your question.
You are asking the wrong guy.

If you don't drive, then why is this such a personal issue for you ?:?

In fact, it is me that is promoting and encouraging any attempts to make school zones safer for the sake of the children.
You are the one that is belittling any attempts to try something new.
