Home Sense?

Home Sense?

Does anybody know when Home Sense is opening on the Westside? The coming soon sign has been there for a couple months.

One article says next summer, but the sign says opening soon, so that is about a eight month window they given themselves.

HomeSense is coming to West Kelowna.
The Canadian-owned chain of off-price home furnishing stores will be moving into the former Wholesale Sports building, which will make it a co-anchor of the Synatan Shopping Centre located at 3600 Carrington Rd.
HomeSense will likely open next summer, as the company is expected to make several improvements to the exterior and interior. Colliers International represents the property.
Wholesale Sports announced last September that it was closing all 12 of its retail stores in western Canada.

Do you remember, before the internet, that it was thought that the cause of collective stupidity was the lack of access to information?

Well... it wasn't that.

May as well close the Kelowna one as well. Nothing doing there. Just another winners without any clothes. Wont be missed when it goes. People wonder why retail is dead. This chain is a good example

Winners is always busy here on the westside...they have slowed down selling household items like furniture, lamps etc..

I think Home Sense will do great here as we only have Walmart (very vanilla junk) Canadian Tire and Home Depot selling limited household items...

Home Sense is Kelowna is alway very busy any time I’ve gone.

I’ve gotten some pretty fantastic and solidly built furniture pieces for a fraction of what they would cost at Marshall’s Home living, and much better quality than a Walmart or Canadian Tire. Plus essentially being a thrift store for new product, you won’t have the exact same stuff as everyone else.

Also pretty great for seasonal and home decor.

Obviously not everyone’s cup of tea, but judging on how busy all the other Home Senses I’ve been to are, customers seem to like it.

totally agree Always Sunny !! I have gotten gorgeous stuff (and at very reasonable prices at Home Sense) and yes, it was always packed when I went..

the Home Sense in Kelowna has that store right beside it (can't remember the name ??) and people would go to that store and see how expensive it was and head next door and buy something very similar for WAY less..

I have a huge outdoor Buddha I bought at Home Sense for $50 2 yrs ago...saw something very similar but much smaller at Home Depot that cost 3x's as much..when friends ask about Bob the Buddha and I tell how much I paid, they gasp :)

if I see damaged stuff at Home Sense Norma, I immediately ask for a discount...or I actually look in the clearance section for the damaged stuff...lol

scored many excellent deals in the clearance section...if that $200 lamp has a chip on the side that one can hide really easily and it's marked down to $25, I have no problem buying it..because you are right Bman..it's all just pretty junk anyways, so why pay top dollar ??

FB Marketplace is now where I score incredible deals !! just recently bought an outdoor heater for $65 it was really dirty (beats me why people don't clean the stuff they wanna sell ??) looked online to see if I was paying a fair price for it and if it was actually a good heater..and the heater sells for $400 brand new !! the gal I bought it off of said they used it 3 times since they bought it...
