It wasn't the snowfall that was the problem.

I question the snowplow that cleared off the pavement the other night. Too bad there wasn't snow.

My brother works as a snow plow driver. If there's no snow for a couple of weeks they get really stir crazy cleaning the toilet for the eighth time that day, so the boss looks really, really hard to find them snow to shovel. Sometimes it's better to be plowing phantom snow than to be cooped up inside for days on end.

I must say the snow removal lately has been exceptional. Not a speck of snow on the roads and nothing left in front of my driveway either.
I know the voices aren't real but they sure do come up with some good ideas!

Ya, the self employed guys are hurting. I have a friend who clears private parking lots. He has to save up a lot of money in the summer in the event that we get a year like this because he's not making any money this year. The highways guys don't operate like that. They are paid no matter what. My brother is employed year round and full time. If there's no snow and nothing to do he works his full time hours, but if it snows a lot he makes huge money because of all the OT.

impo the CoK snow removal budget should rollover to next season, because you never know what could happen.

January Monday morning few years back could happen again.
