That's not true - piled up at the end of the driveway or down the street such as happened this time does not happen year after year.

I am embarrassed for the OP,
The amount of snow "left" in the photos is incidental.

There is a pile of icy snow with large chunks at least 18"/45cm high.

Not easy to remove and not a 5 minute job. It's not just "snow". A snow shovel didn't work on the stuff left at the end of my driveway.

Would have been nice if it was just snow. The snow was easy to move.

I'm embarrassed for those who can't seem to understand the issues, not only the ice piled up but the property damage left behind as well.

Actually I'm not embarrassed at all and DILLIGAF.

Anyone who want to know what that is cam PM me cause it would get deleted otherwise.

Maybe some gratitude for the area we live is in order?

We are very lucky to live in an area without extreme weather issues to deal with year after year. No hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, earthquakes or extreme colds like back east where power goes out for weeks on end.

A bit of ice or snow at the end of my driveway a handful of times a year kind of seems inconsequential.

You're lucky to just get a bit. Some are not so lucky. Some of us have also lived in other areas and have past experiences to be able to make fair comparisons.

A quick search of topics shows this is hardly anything new. Castanetters have been complaining annually here about snow removal for years.
Forget Cialis, Viagra, or Levitra. When you need to get it up fast - reach for new and improved Westcorp. Proud official suppliers of Basran's *bleep*

Maybe they track the complaints and who the contractor or the employee is that works in those areas. They move them around so everyone gets the opportunity to get crappy snow removal. lol

Never said I was high.. Lower Mission. Fair number of elderly people and they aren't sporting designer shoes when they try to get around ( small things as simple as walking the paper over to the 98 year old guy's house they can't do..
Besides swear this is a different ecosystem, always way more snow here than other places in own.
If they hadn't plowed it wouldn't be as slippery, and most streets here have no City sidewalk ( of course I'm cursed with it)
If onion rings are wrong I don't wanna be right

Anyone that’s lived here long enough would agree with you normaM. The bulk of the weather coming through the valley tracks south to north with much of it along the south slopes with a split heading up the Joe Riche Valley. Quite normal for lower and upper Mission and East Kelowna to typically get substantially more snow than the rest of Kelowna.
