Downtown Dealer jailed

Prosecutor wants 54 months. Defense wants free ride or worst case -> 6 months. Judge goes for 10 months. Soooo does the prosecutor have to request a 20 year sentence to just break even with these idiotic sentencing determinations? That’s not even close to half way! This clown has 46 prior convictions and yes of course he also found Jesus. How original. While it disgusts me to even read about this kind of blatant stupidity, I can’t even imagine how a judge can sit there, day in and day out doing this. It must wear you down to know you’re being made a fool of. How could you not want to blow your brains out? I am absolutely stunned that their suicide rate isn't through the roof.

Once your plugged in, you become saved! I do hope this fellow is, maybe it will change his ways. I guess copy the page and see if he breaches his parole when released.

Not sure what Judges think on sentencing although in saying this, the system we currently are using is not working. Maybe we need heeling lodges for prisons.

They suggest and this is from a man who worked directly with them that there is very few repeat offenders.

Why do I think the Higher Power and leading the Church group in prison was a ruse to get a lighter sentence
Yea, he saw the light alright.. a long time in jail
I guess as long as you don't have 50 convictions it's all good

46 prior convictions is nothing! And he found Jesus while in jail, so he's good to go! Wouldn't wanna infringe on his rights! [/sarcasm]

Just another example on how screwed up the Canadian justice system is, the criminal gets tiny slap on the wrist.
When you have to start compromising yourself and your morals for the people around you, it’s probably time to change the people around you.

It must be so disheartening to be a police officer in this town. You can do everything right, catch the bad guy, dot your i's and cross your t's to make sure a criminal doesn't get off on a technicality, and the courts will just hand out a tiny wrist slap or nothing at all.

I understand his Lawyer has to do whatever it takes, but how did he manage to keep a straight face?
If only the Higher Power had reached out on say idk, the 30th conviction. Course Higher Power is busy and all.
