I don’t think you get it. It’s not about B&E’s, it’s the attitude of the people hanging out on the streets and parking lots. Nobody should have to worry about walking downtown, and yet people are.

You should have gone. Get educated on stats rather than cherry-pick percentages and one time incidences like chairs being thrown into a window that don't support discussions on homelessness. Lots of good people were there fwiw.

4 business B&E's within a month's period seems pretty high. Keep in mind weather has been crappy too.

For context, that map shows that there were 18 - EIGHTEEN! - outside of downtown within the same time frame.

I can picture it now – "junkies" as you call them with their pockets bulging, with bags of change lining the sidewalk in plain sight just hanging out on Leon from their rewards after ripping off 300 parking meters in two nights. You're a fool if you think that. You don't believe this was coordinated? "Hey Bob, I have an idea, lets pop open all the meters - as many as we can with a screwdriver we found - and grab all the change we can get. We'll figure out where to put it all later."
