Great, now he got so much Media attention next time a flock of fake super goofs will show up at a situation.
Hoping someone goes as Robocop

Ticket the moron for something.
The usual Castanet posters had no problem critising others who wondered about this massive police presence in the original thread about this incident, making it seem like people were overly critical of the response.
Now many seem to see no problem with this kind of interference in a serious police situation.

Legally, he might get a bylaw ticket and maybe a traffic coupon. How much interference did he cause and under what section of the CCC should he be charged?
How did he know that there was was a serious police situation? The photo could have been taken after the situation had ended. If the police thought is was serious, he would have been charged.

....let's see....ummmm.....oh yeah, drawn guns????

MAPearce wrote:Key word Ken ..."Potentially" .

The problem lies with WHO decides on the potential ..

It's like "statistics" . They can and ARE manipulated to suit the user ..

This whole thing is just plain fear mongering ...

It's horsedung... straight up .

If you think gun calls for police are not potentially dangerous, you could volunteer to be a COP DUMMY and walk in the fatal funnel. They are not using their vehicles for a photo opp, trust me!

Just say, and you might change your views. That or buy yourself a super hero costume and join batman, say maybe Robin.

I find it humorous that Batman is getting more attention than the actual crime and police response.

People should really be more concerned about cops dressing like fake soldiers, than flakes dressing like superheroes.

there might have been some semblance of humour to it IF GUNS WEREN'T DRAWN - but they were so, yeah....

I'm fully aware of the scenario and still found it amusing.

When you spend your days on a news site it's easy to become entrenched in the negativity that surrounds it. Go outside and look at all the beauty the world has to offer-take a break from the news....it's ok to chuckle at things.

Batman arrived at the scene of the crime! In real life! That's awesome!
Nobody was hurt.
Is he an idiot? Probably......but the cops will deal with him accordingly if they need to. If they can find him and his batcave???? [icon_lol2.gif]

With an incident like this there's always going to be at least two types of people responding. The people that think it's kind of funny and entertaining and the people that are the whole other extreme and think he should go to jail and think it's one of the most serious breaches of conduct they can imagine by the way they post. Much like the people that call 911 because kids are playing in a playground even though a sign tells them not to.

And there's the people that think jokers like Batman should use a little common sense.
And I don't agree it's anything like the 911 callers as there wasn't any kind of emergency.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

Atta BOY Ken !!! There you go with the "potentially" thing again...

Just who decides that anyway ? the one who answeras the phone ??
Oh , and DO explain the "fatal tunnel " thing ..

But do that for the rest of the bystanders at the scene that were CLEARLY VISIBLE in the vid provided in this thread..

It's more than abundantly clear to me that the only reason this thread exists is because the RCMP are simply embarrassed about another no issue interruption and being upstaged by a dood in a costume ..

There'd be no problem here IF he showed up in his Batman onesie jammies ..

What a brilliant example of the RCMP exercising an abuse of the media .

It matters not, but not all COPS are bullet proof. You missed your call Robin.

My use of potentially was in response to your post, oh well.

Here is my take.
Nobody ended up dead wounded or in the hospital I think..
Every one got home to their families , with the exception of one.. I think ..
So in my personal view, I think POTENTIALLY.. it may have not been a really bad day..
I'd like to help You OUT,
Which way did You come in??

Uh huh ....

If the cops can't be honest enough and say " that really just bothered us" instead of over embellishing the "threat" to the public and the "foolishness" of his behaviour , I'd brush it off..

But ... NO , they can't . It has to become a public safety issue .

It's like they want us to live in fear . When it was the cops running around with loaded carbines ...

really smooth RCMP .... REALLY smooth .
