Dyck's contemptuous attitude today should have been addressed differently by the court.
The man has no regard for the process or the governance of society.

I really can't understand why they both aren't on trial.

Only one of them was holding the hammer.

Assault....accessory.....
He's played a part in this clearly. Why he gets to walk for testifying it's his buddies fault is bizarre.

Pretty dumb statement Anonymous because there would have not even been an altercation if Dyck wasn’t looking for a fight.....
And who is to say that the final two blows given by Dyck while Ausman was unconscious on the ground didn’t contribute to his death. I am disgusted about our laws and the ability for deals to be made to find someone 100 percent responsible and the other not at all..... both men should be held responsible for the senseless murder of Chris Ausman.

If this was not previously stated. Does any one have a good answer why two skids would be carrying a hammer in the middle of the night . On a walk to 7-11

[quote="GordonH"]Only 2 reasons to be carrying a hammer on the streets:
1) planning on building something You also better be carrying some nails. (Probably way too dumb to nail two boards together)
2) or use it as a weapon I figure he didn’t want to get busted by cops carrying a knife (previous history???). So he chose a hammer for a weapon. They went out to hurt someone that night. Sounds premeditated to me.
I'm sure someone will come up with others, I posted the 2 most obvious. Sadly, I can’t think of any other
Both of these “hood rats wannabe gangstas” should be on trial for murder. Little punk was trying to help bigger punk after he was getting what he asked for, then begged for help. A life was lost at the hands of these two. They should take the next 25 years to think of what they have done and hopefully get released as men, ready to serve society and continue to pay back by teaching younger generations of “wannabe punks”of the road to nowhere!

I really like your post, just can’t find the button. I’m part of the fringe minority.

Would be great if Castanet adopted a policy to show images of the person lost in these situations rather than the smirking image of the punk-assed-coward-wanna-be-gang-banger that took his life that makes me want to put the same hammer through my monitor every time I see his worthless mug.

Pirko did not think hitting someone in the head with hammer would kill them (this tells me he is complete idiot... I'm being kind)

Added later: 6.5 mm skull against a steel hammer.... what the hell do think would happen
