Wow 10 people taken into custody, a large quantity of drugs, stolen goods and weapons, 2 people with outstanding warrants.

Thank you RCMP and the investigation unit. The Community Safety Unit is doing good work.

Lets clean up all of Hein Rd and don't let this scum move to other areas.

The last time I looked it was not the responsibility of the Mayor to keep us safe, it is ourselves. We don't report problems to the Mayor, we report to the RCMP.
The RCMP do not show up automatically, they show up because someone reports a problem. People need to be alert to their surroundings.

Kelowna ranks at number 22nd. in size in Canada & we have the same problems as other cities.

Our Federal & Provincial Governments don't or won't build either more jails or recovery facilities & our Courts release those that the police do catch how is there any prospect of anything improving ?

When criminals aren't worried problems escalate.

I've lived in Kelowna* for twenty-one years and it's a repugnant political community that's always been full of callously self-interested, emotional infants and this thread really exemplifies that..which is particularly disheartening, since even though I rank below most of you lucky property owners, we're in the same heap, as salt-of-the-earth workers...this thread is cringe-inducing complaints and petty nonsense from my "tribe". So embarrassing and disappointing.

Property value is only important if you're planning on selling any time soon. Otherwise, it's a transparent excuse. Property is the cheapest, here, in Rutland(where I have lived for 20 out of 21 years). Figure out a way around that or sit down and shut up because social housing needs to happen. If you don't like it, sell the property whose value you care so dearly about and move somewhere remote.
