They actually legislated us off strike, imposed a contract on us that was awful, pleaded poverty and hard times, no money...ect. Then to add insult to injury, gave the premier a 37 % raise and the mla's I believe were 17% (been a while so I might have the numbers wrong but it was an insult and if i am wrong it is not by much). Paramedics are the poor cousins to other first responders and have been since they lost the wage parity with professional fire in the late 1980's. Their union is weak.
