i will wait and ask him my questions ,when he is no longer mayor,- i look forward to sitting down and having a chat and a coffee with him then, is his wife ok with him doing this [icon_lol2.gif] he must of gotten her ok first [icon_lol2.gif]

You actually expect him to stay in the area after he is fired?
I don't.

Will you ever listen to the citizens? Or will you keep acting with the high minded ignorance of the privileged?

That would be my question.

He'd probably say " I have no idea how I became mayor", selling real estate and being a CHBC reporter was much more my gig.

You're right, a lot of the same can be said about Kelowna, except for the traffic and weather. The traffic here is almost non-existent compared to Calgary, and the winters here don't last 8 months of the year. I would know, I lived there for over 20 years before I couldn't take it anymore.

I don't disagree that Basran is in over his head, and he is likely done come the next election. He seems miserable and that much shorter with everyone. I think he's ready to move on.

move on to what? being the global okanagan weekend weather man? being the mayor is the sweetest gig this guy will ever have. he might get a sweet job as a figurehead for mission group or something but its not like he has a career to fall back on

Dear Mr. Basran,
Are the kickbacks a standard rate and do you share it equally among the councilors?

Hi, we've met before at a few COK functions, introduced my kidlet
at every opportunity.
Do you think your diligent, hard working, elder Aunt's, Uncles, and such,
living and passed, would be proud ?

Are you going to run for another term?

What are your projections given the homeless situation?

When are your going to stop with the forward push of “cycle every” and destruction of on street parking?

Now that we have plenty of winter homeless shelters, why do we still see tents popping up everywhere? Is there no real bylaw enforcement?

Looks like down town has a lot more influx of homeless and drug addicts, is there going to be a push to keep them moving along or are we working towards becoming a street people meca? They seem to all be on a pilgrimage to come here!

Given the current covid situation, is there a plan to stop the senseless spending on frivolous nonessential stuff like lakeshore beach expansions for one thing? Will Kelowna tighten its belt on property taxes in anticipation for commercial businesses loss and vacancies?
I only have 1 question. When will Fidel’s illegitimate spawn use the noose he tied for himself?
