Only one of the 3 buildings is for UBCO use. The residential component in the UBCO building will be "university focused" rentals, but I would guess that the Mission Group residential tower will be all condos. It feels kind of dishonest to characterise the whole development as a UBCO campus when 2/3 of it is for the benefit of a private company.
The site, which will be developed by Kelowna-based Mission Group, will include three towers.
One of those, facing Doyle Avenue, will include about 80,000 square feet devoted to university activities, with another 20,000 square feet of expansion space. In the near future, officials say the additional space could be used as rental space for partners aligned with the university.
The other two towers on the north side of the property would be for Mission Group use. One is expected to be an office tower, the other residential.
