Outsourcing Baloney
Outsourcing local jobs overseas? For a company that earns its money from locals? Not good

I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

Re: Outsourcing Baloney
When someone books an Uber ride they're essentially outsourcing dispatch to an American company anyways. So what's the difference? We say go support local, but yet many of us use Amazon, etc. Times are changing...

Re: Outsourcing Baloney
True enough. And taking Amazon as an example, they directly employ just under 25K Canadians. Then add in the support jobs, materials, construction, etc. We will use whatever makes our lives easier and most of the time it still employs our own. Buying local is fine for some things, but a major pain most of the time. I got sick of wasting time and gas and hearing, "we can order that in for you". Now a Canadian just drops the stuff at my door.Scrobins94 wrote:When someone books an Uber ride they're essentially outsourcing dispatch to an American company anyways. So what's the difference? Haven’t used them in years. There are other options available that provide great service and don’t outsource overseas.
It's that special time of year when conservatives stupidly act like they're not allowed to say Merry Christmas.

Re: Outsourcing Baloney
well I think it's wrong..just what we need more jobs HERE lost..these employees spend their pay checks HERE in our local community..
as for unions pricing themselves out...some places need unions behind them in order to get fair wages and benefits otherwise they get treated poorly and never get benefits or raises..
we're talking about average workers that don't make huge $$..not millionaires...keep kicking the middle class and we'll have nothing but poor people or just very wealthy people...and both those classes of people very much need the middle class to keep them going..

I was like " what we make baloney here?" lol. Sad to see jobs lost, the cost of cabs makes hitchhiking at night seem viable.
I think they charge you 5 before they leave your driveway

Hmmm a company in a free enterprise Society looking to save money on operating expenses. Yes it is sad if we lose jobs but maybe some of the blame should be laid on the over-taxation of every aspect of Canadian life whether it be personal or business.
I am also against unions as I feel all they do is protect bad workers and give no incentive to do better for the company that you work for.
If you owned a company wouldn't your goal for the most part to be turning a profit? Otherwise why would you have gotten into the business if not to make a living.

Todays (ill)logic lesson:
Unions protect lazy and poor workers and prevent company owners from making money.
Interesting.
If that is the case, could someone please explain how big companies that are unionized make millions of dollars profit.
On the surface, this logic reminds me of those argue that lower taxes on businesses result in them spending more on innovation and hiring more workers.

I'm no fan of Unions, but this is a perfect example why they are still relevant.

Yeah, those crazy unionists expecting to make more than the pennies a day that offshore workers get doing the same job. If you seriously think that cab dispatchers are living high on the hog you need to give your head a shake.Boosted632 wrote:Sounds like unionized labor pricing themselves out of work yet again, oh well even steven is right soon they will be nothing but a memory
