of course he is going to deny it. that is what his lawyer told him to do. when they find a politician is suspected of misappropriating funds he should be subject to a full audit . i bet this isnt the only time some money has mysteriously fallen off the books.

Many recall videos made by and about the mayor and used by him at a Chamber of Commerce bun toss, another with supporting cast Gail Given and Loyal Wooldridge.I wonder who paid for these.My guess it was the taxpayer.Were these also about "public awareness" to use the mayor's explanation?.

Basran is nothing but a low educated, lazy sack of who sucked up to Walter Gray to pull strings for him. Basran and this council are the bowel movement that has plugged up the Kelowna city halls toilets for too long..........to the tune of 4% property tax increases with no end in site and a complete lack of accountability on EVERY poor decision the have had a finger in.

As with all similar situations with politicians getting caught.....it was an oversight that his team got caught, not that they did it.

I don’t really care about Basran or think he is a bigger sack of feces than any other politician. The naive view that all other candidates are honourable and different and Basran is horrible is just that......naive.
He was duly elected and if he’s so bad he will be voted out.

Cooking and doctoring of books is a *lot* harder these days than it used to be. It is an unwise politician that feels that they can try to hide something. Especially after it hits the news.

Right up there with police that don’t think they will be filmed when they are beating on someone or shooting them. Truly baffling.
