He’s not back at work. He’s on paid leave. With the *bleep* up set of laws in this province, he’s innocent until proven guilty. This means his wages remain as if there were no charges against him. When the courts have decided if he’s guilty or not is when his employment status changes.

Having lived in several Third World countries I can assure you that innocent until proven guilty is certainly a preferable option to guilty until proven innocent.

With no meaningful details that I know of it's absolutely impossible to even begin to give a thoughtful opinion as to his guilt and evidence.

I will simply say that with an arrest in mid 2021, and a court date of Jan 2023, the taxpayers will already be out close to half a million in salary by the time this gets anywhere....

Interior Health confirms Dr. de Villiers returned to work on Oct. 4, 2021 and was “reassigned to administrative duties."

Throughout the 2021/2022 fiscal year, from March 31, 2021 to March 31, 2022, Interior Health paid Dr. de Villiers a total of $361,656. This was a 75% increase from $205,636 he made the year prior.

More recently, Dr. de Villiers was hit with more criminal charges.

But he’s on administrative duties. It’s not like he’s getting paid for nothing. Besides he’s going to court for the original charge in January.

de Villiers is set to face trial on the original charges Jan. 10 to 12 in Grande Prairie.

Yup, he’s back at work. Not at the job he was hired to do, but something to justify, even if slightly, the wage being paid to him by this country’s *bleep* up laws. Administrative duties are used in many fields of employment when the individual’s character is in question until it all gets sorted out.

All defence attorney needs is the tiniest speck of reasonable doubt, Dr goes free even if he knows he is guilty (meaning the Dr).

This is one of biggest reason vast majority of sexual assault go unreported, because victim knows reasonable doubt will get them every time.
