I'm going to wait for that before I "pontificate" .....

I just hope the recommendations are made public but not the "blame" .

Just like Tolko log boom tug accident . Families don't need that grief .

You are correct.
But look closer and/or more objectively and you will notice the PF (pilot flying) has their hands on the controls.
You will also notice either a 3rd party filming or a camera that is mounted.
Show me a video of PF and filming at the same time.

Get used to what? Distracted crane operators? You may be willing to accept that but myself and the safety industry aren't.

Not if you pause them. Here let me demonstrate.

I just don't get this. Continued grasping at straws to justify poor unsafe behavior.

There's a legitimate chance that "distracted operator" resulted in the deaths of 5 individuals this week. Jaw dropping to see we have people defending that behavior.

Not to mention the ridiculousness that is "It's not OK to drive a car while distracted, but it is OK to operate a crane. Even during high risk work".

Absolutely not. Show me one. Go ahead and show me one filmed BY THE PILOT FLYING because I will report them right away and they'll have their license pulled.

Most of the videos are either somebody who is not involved in flying filming or the camera is mounted.

Ah yes, the infallible "Because there hasn't been an accident yet it must be a safe practice" argument. Good one. :130:

Happens in every industry, make as many rules as you like!
There will always be rule breakers…

People often don't follow the rules. That is common knowledge. Is that really the point you've been trying to make here cause we already know that.
