Another death at homeless camp
A heavy police presence along with ERT at the homeless encampment on the Rail Trail in the city's northend this morning. An tarp was placed around the deceased person or persons.

Re: Another death at homeless camp
Decriminalization (enabling) gives the message it's ok to do drugs, especially to those with limited cognitive ability due to an addiction or mental health problems.
Death is the result.
This is a sad occurrence for everyone.

Agreed .. and with this decriminalization "strategy" , we can expect more death .

So no freedom? Let's ban all drugs including alcohol, the biggest killer.

I am wondering, if crack and meth smoke were considered greenhouse gases, would our governments actually do something about this addiction epidemic?

The Premier of BC openly declaring that BC had decriminalized drugs was nothing more than political grandstanding. No persons in BC have effectively been prosecuted for possession of personal amounts of illicit drugs in over 20 years. What we have done is advertised for everyone in Canada to come to BC and do your drugs. What is lacking is robust treatment programs for mental health and drug addictions. BC NDP is very weak on this. Provinces that are increasing treatment beds / options seem to be doing well at getting people off the street, and improving their lives, which should be the ultimate goal.

Lets make a tax for fentanyl emissions and maybe the deaths would stop ???

You’d think these people would eventually die out after a while, but they keep popping back up ?
