What street parking is there currently at Dilworth and Springfield?
The entire Orchard Park Mall parking lot, plus the gate to empty field next door is open for parking.
Yes, and this has onsite parking, street parking and the entire Parkinson Rec parking area.

Maybe skip Weds and have it Sats and Suns, there would lots more available parking
Can't see PRC being happy to have their lot plugged with shoppers
where else? how about the old costco lot, for now.. or ubc parking lots, empty on weekends.. apple bowl.. empty most of the time.. okanagan college .. empty on weekends...

oh, they could use the old Costco site for in during the winter too!
Back home the year round was indoors, then a few would set up weekends outside DT area

The old Costco site is currently in permit stage for development of new Canadian Tire. Farmer's Market was looking for a more permanent solution/partnership.

I'm not impressed with this location choice and think it will be a huge clusterduck!

One more reason to avoid the Farmers Market!
Since PRC already hosts the off-season market I'd think they can handle it ...

The existing property is up for sale - so they pretty much had to move. While I have seen several here say what a bad idea ithis moveis, I haven't actually seen anyone come up with a better one.

Well I suppose the new location will be fine.
It will reduce endless foot-traffic across busy streets.

I can totally see Thinktank in charge of a Farmer's Market. :D

Who is going to be able to haul heavy things back to their car? Buying six or seven well started tomato plants? Sacks of onions? Small things and small bags of stuff? Sure. Not lots and not heavy.
Canadian Tire - $85 and good for 150lbs.

I believe you've never gone up or down on the overpass, ever. Nevermind loaded down with stuff.
