That's quite an earthquake for being in the middle of the Purcell mountains!

I wonder if it was caused by an avalanche or a rock slide? That is extremely steep terrain.

Depth of 10kms, would be one hell of a rock slide.

7 hours ago a 3.8 magnitude earthquake has hit British Columbia, Canada (50 km S of Daajing Giids, BC)

Depending on which site one goes to you will get 2 different readings.

1)This site says 5.7 https://www.earthquakescanada.nrcan.gc. ... dex-en.php
2) My usual site says 6.0 https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes ... /executive
