Just talked to my daughter in Salmon Arm. She didn't feel anything at all at her house.

A friend of mine who is a geologist told me once, ... When there are relatively frequent tremors in earthquake prone places, that's good. That means the stress in the fault line is being relieved, as tectonic plates pass each other. When there are none and for a longer period of time, then it's time to worry.

BUMP!
GordonH, do you think there may be a connection?
...a massive oak tree came crashing down in Saanich Thursday, smashing the front window of his rented home and crushing his car.

“It sounded like an explosion … insanely loud,” said a shaken Kennedy. “My roommate was freaking out. We thought a car crashed into the house or something.”

It was a bright and calm morning with not even a breeze, which made it seem all the more bizarre, said Kennedy.

“It’s something you expect during a windstorm, not on a perfectly sunny day. I’m feeling pretty lucky I wasn’t in the car.”

SNIP
Kennedy said an arborist who stopped by the scene and examined the tree indicated areas of rot that had weakened the big oak to the point that it only needed gravity to topple it.

The previous day:
Residents in Sidney and parts of Saanich received a friendly reminder that they live in an earthquake zone when a 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded approximately five kilometres east-northeast of Sidney on Wednesday.

The quake, which hit at 12:58 p.m., was picked up by all of the 22 seismograph stations in the region that make up the Canadian National Seismograph Network.

Doubtful quake had any part in this tree falling over, more likely wind had more to do with it... plus tree condition.
2.5 wasn’t close enough (Princeton mine would register around 2.5 with their explosions)

You seem to be obsessed with earthquakes. No earthquakes here in the Okanagan.
