What nonsense - this was a legal kill and this was a problem bear. Your heading has a lot to be desired. This bear was on the radar to be euthanized if there was another encounter.

Sad that we still allow rednecks to run around in the forest, killing anything that moves just so they can hang a little trophy on their wall. I don't really have a problem with someone hunting for food (although I would never do it myself unless I was starving to death).

The healthiest diet to feel the best is with meat. If you choose not to consume meat, great for you; you are very thoughtful to give up your health for the benefit of animals.

For those who choose to source wild meat and farmed meat to eat a balanced diet and stick to family tradition, good for them. Animal activists will push far enough to have trophy hunting removed but don't be fooled into thinking hunting for meat will be banned. Its very natural and a great way to keep wildlife in balance.

I wonder if bears ever feel any remorse when they kill other animals or people?

Grizzly Bear hunting has not been banned by the NDP, meat retention rules changed. That's all.

Doesn't appear this gentleman was a redneck.

A large grizzly bear that forced the closure of Griffith Woods Park in the southwest corner of Calgary has been trapped.

Let's hope this one fares better.

Not all rednecks are gap toothed, inbred, banjo playing losers - there are wealthy, well educated rednecks too.

No argument there but I was referring to gentlemen - there is a difference and you're belabouring the point. :topic: I would hope this last bear caught will be relocated to an area that gives it a better chance of survival.

That guy was no 'gentleman', and neither was the guide outfitter that led him to that bear. The bear was relocated in Alberta where they 've had a ban in place since 2006. These jerks were probably tracking the bear until he crossed into B.C. and then shot it at their earliest opportunity.

Premier Horgan has a lot on his plate, but he'd better straighten this out before any other 'gap-toothed, inbred, banjo playing, or wealthy uneducated losers' pull the same stunt.
