Where's Trudeau?

Where's Trudeau? He's hiding in former PM Harper's closet because he knows he should never have taken Alberta's side in this. Until that Second Narrows bridge risk assessment has been done, those tankers are 'dead in the water'.

What closet are you talking about? Is this another lame and stupid comment about the day that Islamic person attacked Parliament? Good grief. Where was Trudeau on that day BTW? Anyone know?
Anyway, I'm sure he's very happy he took Alberta's side on this, as it's also Canada's side, and the majority of BC's side. The only people opposing this are a tiny minority of People and a massive dufus premier.

He didn't look very happy on TV last night.

So Alberta's going to halt construction of the Site C dam? Good news. Notley's going to save B.C. taxpayers a ton of money. It's the best way to show Trudeau that his approval of that project was a stupid decision as well.

Good grief. That's quite the misrepresentation of what the news story actually said.

It's a really good shot, because what you wrote is 100% certified Grade A Bull . Why do you feel the need to lie so much? What is it that you are hoping to achieve exactly?

^^When the C.D.Howe Institute comes out with something like that, you can be sure that Notley's listening and will take their advice. I can hardly wait to see how this petro-pusher explains her sudden environmental stance.

Sudden environmental stance? She brought in the carbon tax, fer pete's sake.
We're watching for JT to take action on this, on behalf of all Canadians.

Re: Where's Trudeau?
Here's something I didn't know (bold):
This, along with the beefed-up spill response system for the West Coast, are important factors.
And I think it was Symbonite who figured if this involved Quebec, we'd already have seen action from JT. Here's Albas's take (same piece):
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continues to insist this project is in Canada’s national interest and must move forward.
I fully support the prime minister’s decision on this. As I have previously stated, the Trans Mountain approval is subject to 157 binding conditions that are intended to address concerns ranging from First Nations, environment, project engineering as well as safety and emergency response.
The value of this project is just under $7 billion and will create 15,000 new jobs during construction.
This pipeline will also generate $4.5 billion in federal and provincial government revenues. It should also be noted that this project replaces the existing Trans Mountain pipeline system between Edmonton and Burnaby. This existing pipeline is now over 50 years old.
This, along with the beefed-up spill response system for the West Coast, are important factors.
And I think it was Symbonite who figured if this involved Quebec, we'd already have seen action from JT. Here's Albas's take (same piece):
What should happen?
We know that when Quebec-based Bombardier was threatened in a trade dispute,Trudeau cancelled an aircraft order with Boeing and released future military procurement policy that factors in Canada’s economic interests.
In other words the prime minister stood up to defend Bombardier’s interests.
If Prime Minister Trudeau truly believes the Trans Mountain pipeline project is in Canada’s national interests, he need to step up and ensure that project is built.

B.C.’s Environmental Management Act “gives us the right, in addition to our responsibility, to defend B.C.’s vulnerable coastline, our inland waterways, our economic and environmental interests and that’s what British Columbians expect us to do.”
Prove that this is wrong.

Re: Where's Trudeau?
Horgan's not doing this to defend B.C.'s vulnerable coastline, or our inland waterways, or our economic and environmental interests. If that was his objective he'd be doing everything he can to make sure we get the additional protections built into the TMX deal a.s.a.p., because that actually give us far better tools with which to accomplish all of those things.
Instead, he's shirking his responsibility to British Columbians. And we all know why Horgan's doing what he's doing: to guarantee an ongoing revenue source for his bankrupt party by keeping Weaver sweet long enough to sew that up.
No reason to pretend he's doing it for us. He's doing it to us, in spades.
Let's see if JT will intervene.

Re: Where's Trudeau?
At the moment, Horgan is still just playing games, but at least he shut the fool Heyman up.
JT is in fact doing what he should do. He has made it very clear that the TMX will be built. No waffling, no shades of gray, it will be built.
Until Horgan and the disingenuous muttonhead Heyman actually DO something, then it is best to just leave them twisting in the wind. For the moment, the no longer grinning Horgan is doing a two step pirouette. Trying to pretend he doesn't know what the fuss is about. We're just gonna "study". No John, that ain't what your excuse for a minister said.
So JT is leaving the ball in Horgan's court.
Johnny's idiotic pick for environment minister is Johnny's problem, and from what I can gather, Lana of the sharp knives isn't very happy with revenues from her organic vineyard under threat. THAT should be an interesting conversation, Lana will have goofball George wishing he never ran for office.
Meantime, Carr and McKenna are sharpening the axe, just waiting for Johnny to actually DO something, and the heads will roll. You can't take action until your opponent actually makes a move beyond childish flap jawing.
Meantime KM's legal team are collecting the data, the timelines, all those things to get ready to sue Johnny and crew's butts off - unfortunately, we all will have to pay.
Johnny is boxed in, JT knows that, Rachel knows that, KM knows that - and Andrew Weaver is celebrating! He carefully crafted a trap, and the small minded George Heyman and the BC NDP waltzed themselves right into it.
The only winner in all of this? The BC Greens and BC Liberals. (Andrew Wilkinson has been quite happy to let the BC NDP hang themselves on this one).
My oh my, for a bunch of political "scientists" the BC NDP sure got themselves on the wrong side of this mess that they created.
