^^ governments like the UK government recognize that the minimum contribution of nuclear required to meet their Paris Accord commitments is 30% or more. But they are not building it because the phony green* activists go nuts whenever nuclear is mentioned.

Sorry, not the UK.
But I’ve been holding out on this, and now I sense my opportunity.
BTW, I'm not a fan of Liz for personal reasons. At one time she ditched a 12,000 strong group that I was a part of in a battle with a single American lobbyist in Ottawa --long story.

Here we go. The thread has degraded to a mutual stroke fest between two supporting characters reading a script.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Maybe a little more emphasis needed on my position here.

It would be nice to see that list, though.
Rachel must have that list. Why don't you ask her?

Holy Small Modular Reactors, Mordu! I just got home and haven't had time to even cook dinner much less read all your links. However, I have watched the videos, except for that 'fire movie'. Can't do it on this old iPad of mine.
Is there an answer in one of your links to my question about nuclear fusion? I didn't see it mentioned in the videos. Last time I checked, it still wasn't available. Anyway, I really must get dinner started, only had one ice cream cone for lunch and I'm starving! I'll be back to look for your reply after dinner.

Why isn't BC involved in the project?
And, over here.

Well, if you can figure out why Harper gutted AECL by selling the CANDU Design and Development division to SNC for peanuts... we will have an answer. They already had a design that was convertible to Thorium at that time... but development has vanished as far as I know.

Sorry, hobbyguy, I mean why isn't BC involved in this project?
And especially, as you say, when Canada was once a leader?
Because, according to the website, BC isn't.
But I think you may have already provided the answer below with your UK example, and that's why I tagged this project onto your post.
So maybe Cactusflower could ask his Premier why not and get back to me *bleep* for tat http://forums.castanet.net/posting.php? ... #pr2453520

Stop it, Snman, you're making me blush!
Mordu, I have no idea why BC isn't involved with it. I'm not exactly in Premier Horgan's social circle and I'm certainly not an expert in the nuclear energy field. My suggestion to you would be to contact Horgan or his Energy Minister Michelle Mungall directly, perhaps send them some of the info you've been providing on this thread and the other one on the World forum.
You could also contact that fellow in the video with Liz on that political TV show and get him to contact the BC government. Politicians are more likely to pay attention to people with expertise in the field they wish to discuss.
Good luck in your endeavours.

Re: Kinder Morgan protestors
Well Ms. Cactusflower, thanks for that, but since I have a direct BC connection, I May just hit up my good friend Liz. She hasn't ditched me on e-mail yet.
And, Mr. Snman, thanks for the intro.

Re: Kinder Morgan protestors
So besides what Liz naysays in the video, I'm gathering additional info for my e-mail to her, but this May help to explain why BC isn’t interested in Small Modular Reactors.
“ . . . the linkage with nuclear weapons . . .” (but unexplained in the following article: who, what, why, how, when, and where in Canada)

Cactusflower, “The New Fire,” is available on iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/the-ne ... 11839?ls=1
If it’s on the menu in Mexico you can by an iTunes card at most of the chain bodegas, but bring cash because they may not like you to use a credit card.
And c'mon LIz, "Young, hungry ambitious engineers who want to do great things . . .."
