And another player enters the bidding war

https://www.castanet.net/news/Business/ ... ine-bidder

That's now two indigenous groups bidding on the TMX. Where are all the eco terrorist idiots going to go when they can't use the indigenous card in their propaganda?

Hopefully the current government will allow this Indigenous interest and support of the TMP to encourage a change in their position on the pipeline. These groups see the pipeline as environmentally neutral and good for their communities. It is time for the provincial government to see that revenue from the pipeline can be used to initiate carbon capture and support clean energy projects.

TMX clears another hurdle.

https://www.castanet.net/news/Canada/25 ... reen-light

This is one thing he has said that I agree with. It took long enough, jeez.

Trudeau says he is sympathetic to concerns about the environment and the need to transition to cleaner sources of energy, but says that in order to fund that transition, Canada needs to take advantage of its natural resources while they are still needed.

Then we get this gem.

The federal cabinet is also requiring another consultation with Indigenous communities affected by the project to determine how they can potentially become economic partners in the project.

There are already 2 indigenous consortiums that want to buy into Trans Mountain. What the hell do we need more consultation for? :swear:

I get that if you believe in the man-made climate change hoax, that "carbon capture" would be something to look into, but please explain what "clean energy projects" are exactly. Because I have yet to really see a truly "clean" energy project, other than perhaps hydro and Nuclear power.

GB, you seem to have a very short memory. I have been a great supporter of hydro electric generation. I sincerely hope that more hydro generation appears in BC, however I do not believe tat you will see nuclear in this province.

The latest TMX approval is likely another load of political BS, until we actually see the two ends connected and tap turned on.
A big yawn. Hard to believe these people.
It seems they’d rather borrow money into oblivion to run the country, and then watch Canada being taken over when interest rates climb and bankrupt us. (Canada Debt/GDP ratio is now 97%, where as Norway is 40%, and Australia is 45%.. We’re pretty much F’..d)

Just wondering, do whale conservationists also protest whale watching operations, whos business it is to directly interfere with whales? Ships don’t go looking for whales, to spend the day encircling them and sometimes crashing into and lacerating them with propellers. Maybe whale conservationists would have better success going after the whale watching industry, where there is an observable issue.
The Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Salish Sea, are turning into an open-water zoo.

Discarded fishing nets and ropes are another issue affecting ocean life.

Climate change might be caused by more than just man burning petroleum. Climate change is likely caused by natural events as well.

Project Reconciliation says the bid will be underwritten by contracts with pipeline customers and not rely on taxpayers. The group says almost 340 Indigenous communities across B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan could choose to share ownership of the pipeline, which is designed to ship crude oil from the oilsands to the West Coast.

Project Reconciliation says it plans to set aside 80 per cent of future proceeds from the pipeline into a type of sovereign wealth fund to ensure longer-term benefits for Indigenous communities in Western Canada.

I don't have any real hope that it will work but I sure hope it does.

https://www.castanet.net/news/Canada/26 ... sands-foes

The Alberta government is holding a public inquiry into funding of environmental campaigns it says have prevented the province's resources from getting to new customers.

Kenney says environmental groups funded by deep-pocketed U.S. charities have been deliberately trying to landlock Alberta resources for years.

Maybe it can show exactly where the money for the professional protestor originates.

I didn’t know there are ocean floor volcanoes that spew oil, gas and bitumen. I’m not saying this is good or bad, it just didn’t occur to me as something that happens.

Check out the oceanic research video in this link:

That is how oil is found under water
