‏Quite a discussion on Twitter about all this. If Plecas wants $108,000 for Mullen because he needs a second residence no one should be questioning it because there is an RCMP investigation of James and Lenz. Similarly, when the Liberals asked today how much money Oppal was making the request was denied. You know . . . RCMP investigation. :D

I heard that Plecas is suggesting his budget is less than other Speakers but is demanding his friend Mullen get $108,000 to offset his need for a second residence @robshaw_vansun @VaughnPalmer @WoodfordCHNL

The management meeting is set for January 21st and Plecas has promised to provide details at that time. He has said that if we're not outraged and if we don't feel like throwing up he'll resign as Speaker. He's going to do all that without in any way impacting the criminal investigation now being conducted by the RCMP.

Maybe his plan is to announce the dribble nude. Enough to make anyone throw up. LOL

Okay, so tomorrow is the big day! I hope the media remembers to follow up on this story. Related to the money laundering?

T minus 6 hours and counting … can't you just feel the excitement building. Kinda reminds me of the 60's sitting in a field gazing at my belly button.

I think we should all stand in a circle around Plecas. :smt045
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have of changing others.

Hey, I missed this
VICTORIA — When the legislature assembly management committee reconvenes later this month, one order of business is deciding whether to provide a $180,000 funding top-up for Speaker Darryl Plecas.

Plecas believes he is entitled to the money for research and other resources by virtue of his status as an independent member of the legislature.

He has put the New Democrats, B.C. Liberals and Greens on notice that he expects the full amount to be included in the budget for the financial year beginning April 1.

The money would be in addition to existing funding for the office of the Speaker ($400,000), plus amounts Plecas already receives for constituency funding and travel ($100,000 in first six months of this year) and his own salary as MLA and Speaker ($160,000).
