I am surprised he was even allowed to talk at UBC!
All of those people suffering from TDS that still say that Hillary won the 2016 US election because she won the popular vote - I expect you to fill out your Conservative party membership forms today, and support Andrew Scheer as the actual PM of Canada.

hes boring. in debates he never answers the question posed to him. he evades it by asking his own. and then ranting about his own perspective.

Hard to give clear and concise answers to questions that simply make no sense nor even have a point. The few questions that are actually intelligent, he does answer with a simple answer.

Why do we need to import American ‘talent’ like him when we have our own?

So you're complaining that he doesn't answer the questions while at the same time complaining that he gives his own perspective? Which one is it?

Snip
Ben Shapiro, the conservative writer, prides himself on speaking bold truths to liberal power. His shtick goes something like this: Set up a speech in a progressive bastion, ideally a college campus full of coastal elites who have never left their bubble. Spar with snowflakes who are offended by something he says about race or gender and perhaps even believe he never should have been invited in the first place. Post the exchange on the internet and use it as proof that the cultural consensus is stacked dramatically against conservatives. As Mr. Shapiro has put it: “The left has run out of aggressors to target; instead, they’ve become the aggressors, self-righteous morality police dedicated to wiping out dissenting thought.”

It’s true that campuses tend to be hostile places to conservatives like Mr. Shapiro, Charles Murray and Heather Mac Donald. But the notion that they are the cultural underdogs is bogus.

What Mr. Shapiro does on campus is shadow boxing meant to pander to his conservative fans whose values dominate mainstream American culture. If he wanted to be genuinely brave, he’d challenge some of the wrongheaded ideas held by his right-wing fans. Instead, he uses his megaphone — the website The Daily Wire — to reinforce what they already believe.

As I said in my first post on this thread.

Send all of these ignorant, insulting, smirking, ‘superior’ Americans (Shapiro 7:50-OP video) packing: including the likes of ‘Hanoi Jane’ the next time she shows up.

It’s time to support our own brand of ‘nationalism’ when it come to 'entertainers'—the least I can say for Bennie is he didn’t attempt to ‘appropriate’ our culture, as he admitted himself (:32).

Still steaming :swear:

On 'reinforcement’—what about Max?

From Gilchy’s, New York Times article.

“What Mr. Shapiro does on campus is shadow boxing meant to pander to his conservative fans whose values dominate mainstream American culture . . . to reinforce what they already believe.”

Right, Shapiro totally wet the bed and displayed his American ignorance to blow a ‘Canadian’ opportunity when he used Bernie Sanders as an example to criticise Justin Trudeau when he had our antithesis breakaway conservative Maxime Bernier at hand to better represents what the questioner was looking for when he asked about ‘caving in simply to attract votes,’ (1:22:18 OP video—also featured in the second video I posted, which I was sure happy to come across for a clip).

“Bernier says name recognition his new party's biggest hurdle in 2019”

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/bernier ... -1.4244368

So to show my 'love' for Shapiro I would've blown him a goodbye and good riddance kiss when he left the country.

[icon_lol2.gif] I went for B with no need to answer the "which one" part, because I gave an example from the OP video of Shapiro not answering a question other than providing his own ignorant, 'superior' American perspective. But maybe my perspective came from the wrong side of the fence in that there are American right-wing idiots who seem to expect all conservatives will simply swallow their dogma to attack the left (and not even expect that we have a 'Sanders type' farther left here) no matter in which country they’re invited to speak.
