Again, you seem to misunderstand what an investigation entails. You expect the police to march up to them and say stop doing that?

looks like I was not misunderstanding anything Feds and cops knew all about it and never did a thing to stop them including failing to inform the BC government

Totally inept with the whole dealings. This has cost the local rate payers millions in tax , BC assessment charges property valuations Unbelievable that these so called authorities are not accountable.

I wonder if this dovetails with the cozy relationship Trudeau has established with Chinese billionaires who slipped him a big bag of money via the Trudeau Foundation (to put up a statue of Pierre, of course :admin: )?

Is there any link to laundered offshore money, Trudeau's relationship with these wealthy individuals, and the refusal of his government to aid the investigation into money laundering?

Something stinks to high heaven now that we've learned information was withheld at the federal level. Can anyone clear this up for us?

Justin Trudeau’s 3 funniest excuses for having a secret fundraising dinner with Chinese billionaires

"We're asked to believe that Justin Trudeau ... wandered into a house in Toronto and was astonished to discover that there's a Chinese businessman and party donors."

Nothing to see here, folks! Move along!

Last May, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended an exclusive $1,500 Liberal Party fundraiser at the home of a wealthy businessman where Trudeau rubbed elbows with Chinese billionaires.

Also on the guest list at the private fundraising dinner were senior Chinese state officials and a business executive who is currently seeking approval for a new bank from Canadian regulators.

In addition to their generous donations to the Liberal Party of Canada, two wealthy dinner guests donated $1 million to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation – including funds to erect a statue honouring Justin Trudeau’s father.

Tax. Borrow. Spend. Justin Trudeau's platform is raising taxes and accumulating another $94,000,000,000 in debt.

there was never "BILLIONS" involved and so far the 2+ million seized has not been returned based on news releases

Eby said that number now appears low, especially after the release of an international report that pegs money laundering in B.C. at more than $1 billion annually, although a time period wasn't mentioned in the report. A second report by the RCMP estimates $1 billion worth of property transactions in Vancouver were tied to the proceeds of crime, the attorney general said
Tip of the Ice Berg going to be very interesting , sure there more than a few top end people involved in this mess :200:

You are so right about that.

It may seem odd to us regular peeps that after a massive investigation, now ready for trial, suddenly goes awry due to a slipup in the paper work by the federal side (which is probably being blamed on some overworked secretary) and poof! Case closed.

Personal cosy connections of the master players and politicians in high places? Say it ain't so. :200:

It would be interesting to have Rev. Can. do a whole bunch of audits and see where millions suddenly appeared. There are politicians and lawyers who would poop themselves if a real investigation ever started. to be made public.

CTV News, 11:00 pm tonite reports that the laundry bill is much higher than what was thought just a week ago.

The amount is now at 2 BILLION per ANNUM washed, rinsed and dried via casinos and real estate.

Eby calls it a rats nest of dirty money and investigation forthcoming.

Should another costly investigation be launched only to strike an iceberg tip (oops!) along its voyage?

I'm going to guess that the money starts out as tiny rivelets of cash flow via all the small time drug users out there, addicted and unable to stop needing cash in anyway shape or form. That rivelet turns into a huge river in the hands of the dealers who turn it over to the Kingpins who have to wash the cash's origins.

Casinos.

And the money now has to be parked somewhere.

Real Estate.

Does the average Canadian even have a chance against this huge wave of cash grabbing up land, houses, apartments and such?

Work hard, save you down payment, pay a property Transfer Tax AND keep paying for all the care to keep the addicts going?

Yes, we always pay the piper whenever there is a goofup and seems that the ones who were in charge look the other way as their pockets are lined.

99% commented that skid marks on dainties owned by the Canadian/Chinese elite would suddenly appear should there ever be a serious audit done on incomes, overseas bank accounts and forgotten chateaux in foreign ports.

It has been said on latest news that it is now the RCMP who failed to deliver up all information they had concerning the now dead investigation. The RCMP does not make decisions like that unless directed to do so by those in high places... just how high??

By the time, if ever, we got to the bottom of this giant laundering scam those highly placed individuals will be in retirement, collecting rich pensions and sharing hilarious stories about How to Scam a Whole Nation.

If we do the right thing and elect a decent government, one that wants to drain the swamp such as the People's Party of Canada , the possibility of skid-marked undies becomes enticingly likely.

If they had any credibility before, they have none now in my mind.
EVERYONE in the BC leg and parl that knew about it should lose their jobs and do jail time. All of their assets that were gained as a result of this should be seized as proceeds of crime.
All of them.
Some may view my above politically incorrect opinions as 'harsh' and may even be offended by them. Some think political correctness will be our undoing. Save the planet, spay or neuter your kids.

If you are interested in the sad story of how Hong Kong drug lords, drug dealers, prostitution ring masters and the like wound up in Canada to the delight of our real estate and casino industries, this W5 utube can clarify ....runs 22 minutes. Amazingly, it was aired in 2011 and we did nothing, nada, zip.

Starting in the 1990's, It covers the sale of Canadian passports by OUR embassy staff to the Triads and hucksters; to the blind eye of the Chretin government (with the remarkable exception of David Kilgour); to the shut it down, and shut up investigation by the RCMP.

Eby doesn't have to lift a finger as the investigation is already done and has been for a long time. Politicians and bureaucrats have been rewarded handsomely and everyone is happy except for the shafted Canadian public and the two whistleblowers.

As expected, the finger pointing, the blaming, the excuses and reviews of what went wrong (!!!) in investigations will continue.

There seems to be no political will to clean up the mess. Why is gov't involved in gambling in the first place, I wonder?
