Justice should and I'm sure will be served.

Punishment

(2) Every one who commits an offence under subsection (1) is guilty of

(a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years; or

(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction and liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term of not more than eighteen months or to both.

There are far too many charges that have been laid in BC. There has to be punishment for those that deliberately mistreat and torture animals.

^^off topic.
:topic:
It's appalling how people turn their backs on animals that can't fend for themselves. Hopefully this case is resolved with the owners never being able to own animals again.

I wouldn't repeat what Cactusflower said - totally wrong and uncalled for.

I would vote for prison time - a fine isn't so much of a deterrent.

People live outside in the winter and those who want to help them are bleeding hearts and snowflakes.

And you sir are about as smart as the people that live outside because of poor life choices. The dog had no choice as it's likely drug addled owners tied a chain around it's neck until it cut through two inches of flesh and that actually exposed the dog's trachea. But somehow we are to feel sorry for your druggies living outside because the rent money went up the nose or into a vein.
Sorry......but I will save the dog first.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

I thank each and every poster here that has expressed any concern for that poor dog and you all can count on me and so many others to help if the occasion occurs. Those that chose the low road and ignored the plight of the suffering animal only have themselves to blame.
