Re: Lotto insanity
I love playing the Lotto.
I win lots of little prizes but the kicker was when I got on a real good streak and its these that keep me coming back.
I won enough to buy a huge chunk of land that carries no debt because on my second bigger win I totally made the property self sufficient.
I did not win the big prize. I won 2nd place, twice. My face was not published which was nice. I'm debt free and today I'm out working my little farm in the sunshine with little to no worries. Just me, my dog, my cat and Nature
There is nothing left of my wins but I'm set up for life because I was smart with my wins. I drive a 20 year old car and no nasty expensive habits anymore, even pot smoking which was fun for a bit but got old fast.
I know 4 jackpot winners and everyone knows who they are and it makes trust hard for them. I told the world I inherited money the first time because it coincided with my Fathers passing and the second I was simply silent.
It does get won. I've done it. Its fun as hell. You really do pee yourself. Gunning for number 3.

I don't care about the money.
It's the fact you saw the value in the land, nature and- the self sufficient attitude.
My god!!! A country girl, right here all along.
Are you single?
I'll show you my land if you show me yours.
That's such a cool story, thanks for posting.

Now I have to back to a lotto retailer 8 times to buy my tickets. How is this policy going to keep people at home?? I know I can buy them on line but I do not like to do money transactions on line. I have heard that because people are not going out they are buying their tickets on line which has caused the site to lock up.
Anybody else think this policy is pure insanity??
Enter the 21st century and buy it online. You don't have to leave the house

Some people want a essentially zero digital connection to bank acc., credit, personal data etc. If people don't want to do online transactions I don't blame them.

Then, those are the ones that should not be playing the lotto. If they win over $2000, they will have to collect from a lotto in Vancouver, or Kamloops. Lotto will take all of your info, check with CRA to make sure you don't owe them, check with the court system to insure they don't have a warrant or owe child support. Make sure that you are not in insolvent bankruptcy. There is no alimony, lawsuit, or liens owing.
If you win, your whole life will be ripped apart and your digital connection is the least of your worries.

Single? Nope sorry. My Man is a farmer from way back so he fits in nicely. This morning before lunch a black bear came to chew on the blackberry bushes and seek grubs. Yesterday I had a Bambi in the far corner by the old sheds and what I think might have been an old family plot, I haven't quite got back there much yet.. I have things in a very very good place right now and I'm quite happy not leaving the property anyway. I bought more tickets this morning because my neighbours are considering moving and they have a real nice chunk of land with ponds and a view of the water, wish me luck...……...,.ps.Old Trucker, I'll keep you in mind if he leaves lol.

Players are still able to validate tickets at retailers for any amounts up to $1,999.99, provided the retailer has sufficient funds on-hand. We have, however, given all retailers full discretion to focus on essential services and not sell lottery tickets at this time, so it may be difficult to locate a retailer that is able to validate any tickets or provide cash payouts of those amounts.
We have modified our prize claim processes to accommodate players who are unable to claim their prizes at retailers, casinos or our corporate offices at this time.
If you have a winning lottery ticket for a prize amount between $0- $9,999.99, it can mailed in to BCLC Prize Payout to be validated. A cheque will be sent to you for the prize amount (in the case of free play tickets, a cheque for the cash amount of the ticket is issued).
Please completely fill out and sign the ticket front and back, ensuring to include your full name, address and a daytime phone number. We would also recommend taking a photo of copy of the ticket for your own records. All responsibility with mailing a ticket belongs with the player and not with BCLC. Tickets need to be post marked before the expiry date to be processed.
If the prize amount is $2000.00- $9999.99, please include a copy of your government-issued photo ID along with your original ticket and a validation slip if you have had the ticket checked by a retailer.
Tickets can be mailed to:
BCLC Prize Payout
PO Box 1080
Kamloops BC V2C 6H2
In the case of a major prize over $10,000, please contact us directly for further instruction. Our prize payout team will be handling these claims on a case-by case basis.

You might want to check your facts because there is no tax on Lotto winnings in Canada. If you have money owing to the CRA then it should be paid anyway and it would be to your benefit to do so.

Okay. I used to ranch bison, cattle and horses so keep that in mind before choosing another rancher. Also, if you have a tractor,....I don't care what you look like...send me a picture of your tractor.

Did you win with quick pics or do you have a set of regular numbers? I'm trying to figure out how people can win even once , never mind twice! Luck, with a side dish of luck ,sprinkled with luck on top....how does that happen?

My brothers friend won north of 15 million a few years ago. He said picking the Cheque up was one of the most easy pleasant things he did. He was interviewed about where he purchased the ticket and after telling them, they showed him a video (from security camera at store) of him buying it. They just wanted to confirm. Then met with a person to discuss things he should do like delete all email addresses, change phone numbers, delete all social media accounts, etc. then offered some advice on how to deal with the winnings. Left with his fake Cheque (as money was deposited) and never looked back.

We won 5 grand about 10 years ago on a quick pick and our online account.
Money was deposited in the account and we only had to wait a few days before they would let us transfer it out so they could verify that we weren't laundering money. Isn't that a joke considering what the Casino's were doing. lol
We bought new kitchen appliances with it.

I wonder if good cause girl could or would describe the emotions... the feeling of the exact moment she found out.
Did she feel like she was going to have a heart attack, or was it a instant add 10 years of youth ultra powerful 'quickening' the moment she realized she won? Or to put it another way ,did she feel instantly stronger physically, or did she go weak in the knees?.
Did she go into a total exuberant YAHOO bounce of the wall joy mode? How long after checking the ticket did it take to get to the bounce off the wall level. Or was she calm, didn't smile any more than usual or tell anyone anything and just quietly let it compute?
Did she have a different mindset or reaction on the second win?
Was she scared for any reason?
The probability that I'll get to ask a TWO time supernatural luck winner any questions ever again is about as likely as winning the lottery itself- a once in a lifetime chance, so that's why I'm asking those questions- questions that could only be answered by maybe 3(?) people on the planet that would know what it's like, and I'll probably never get another chance to get to ask or have a idea of what happens to a person mentally ,physically, emotionally when winning the lotto. In my minds eye, I already know what I'd do with the money. Easy to find out what winners do with the money, but nearly impossible to learn about the emotional part, which I have wanted to know for many years.
Only if good cause girl wouldn't mind of course.

LOL LOL LOL, let me tell you a story. Bought tickets forever like everyone else and had my wins but when the numbers started to line up I remember standing up to quickly and stubbed my toe so hard the chair flipped over and I remember screaming holy f holy f holy everliving f. I actually did pee myself, I could hardly breath. I had circled all 7 numbers and all of a sudden I was terrified. A dread crossed over me and I started to cry. Then I laughed, cried, laughed and then I just stopped moving and sat and stared at the ticket scared to touch it. I remember thinking where to hide the ticket but I used to be a drinker and still was then and I knew I'd lose it. I drank that day and the ticket was wrapped in saran wrap and rolled up in an emptied out tampax applicator and put back in the back of the drawer., Seemed like a good idea at the time as there were no visiting gals that would be into the box.. I was alone when I won so I was able to go though the initial shock alone which was good because when I told my husband I was already a touch calmer and I had much fun in watching him react. He says he didn't but I do believe he peed a bit to. Seriously your bladder either pinches off or lets loose, our were loose lol. Honestly I still get goose bumps when I think about that moment. Lifted, airborne, breathless, but RELIEF was the emotion I remember most. Relief, like nothing else. I smiled. Relief.
The second time I nailed the win was just over 2 years later and I was sober by then, had spent every dime of the first win on a property and was happy and content playing Farmer on my little acreage when a ticket I bought while traveling to see family in Saskatoon hit the 6 plus again. This time was different but still there is nothing of that kind to compare with. This time there was so much laughing. Life was showing me love and I was feeling pretty good. I took that money and totally off-gride'd my farm. I bought a bigger John Deere and a hand crank for a water well I found.
I kept $100. grand in my bank and gave away the rest.
I'm seriously thinking I might win again and if I do I'll be giving most of that away as well.
Its fun, I highly recommend it.
