Unfortunately this move will work to some degree for them because people's memories are so short and their attention span is not there anymore

So BC is stuck with right wing coalition.
Surprisingly, WAC Bennett, despite the nonsense of the likes of "Flying Phil" Gagliardi, managed to do a number of very good things. Created BC Ferries. BC Hydro. Implemented health care reform. Unfortunately failed to get dental care and pharmacare (both of which he advocated for) included in the federal deal. Even the provincial flag.

When the coalition has done well is when it has stuck to center right, which most people are ok with.

If and when it goes goofy or strays too far to the right, the NDP win.

The conditions are there for Falcon to be the next elected premier. I get why the name change, and it is largely marketing, but very real.

Horgan has institutionalized a two party system. No small party (like the BC Conservatives) has a hope in heck with Horgan's institutionalization of big money in politics. If the BC Greens implode like their federal counterparts, it will be complete.
The middle path - everything in moderation, and everything in its time and order.

why do you say Horgan has institutionalized a two party system? The NDP have the green taking votes away and winning few if any seats and the right has the BC Conservative party taking away seats.
I don't think that Horgan has anything to do with putting a two party system in place.

Ya know changing ones name is common for a certain elements of our society. Yes we have Numerologist that put creed in the relation between numbers and their future. Some just don't like the names they were given.

BUT lots of times these name changes are for other reasons. Some official (legal change of name) some unofficial. The police call those names "aliases".

We hear on consumer product shows about business and organization that frequently change names, fly by night moving companies come to mind.

So,,, as the BC Social Credit Party faded into obscurity it's members didn't give up on politics they formed the BC Liberal Party, now the BC Liberal Party becomes the BC United party.

Am I alone in making this connection ?
