"Free" Contraception

Post by Glacier »

BC becomes the first province to cover contraception... https://www.castanet.net/news/BC/413759 ... ion#413759

But not all forms. Those who don't want to mess up their hormones and use condoms instead are SOL. This bill must be sponsored by Big Pharma. Free clot shots for all.

Speaking of which, I identify as a woman, so that means I can get a prescription for female contraception!

Yup, they will give you an exacto knife so you can castrate yourself!

I support this, giving women the tools they can use to manage their reproductive rights has been shown to benefit all of society.

When people who can't afford to have another child are left without rationale protections there have been only bad and worse outcomes.

Exactly!

What they are going through in the US is just so wrong on so many levels!

People don't need contraceptives paid for by me in order not to get pregnant.

And people are pretty effing stupid to think this is free. Where do you think this money is coming from?

How about eliminating the carbon tax so that women can spend that money on contraceptives? Families would have thousands of dollars more to spend if we did.

Here we are told we have to bring half a million migrants into Canada every year because we aren't having enough children to fill labour needs, yet we pay to reduce our reproduction rates. Errrrrrrr...

Only in leftist woke land do we find this kind of stupidity.

What is really a shame is that contraception for some isn't retroactive!

Never liked condoms. But you don't need government to tell you to pull it out in time. Don't they have better things to do?
Posters who once get on my ignore list do not get off it easily. They would have to demonstrably improve their behavior.

Knowing that hospitals preform abortions every Tuesday, how many no idea. It appears pulling out in time doesn’t work well for many.

Oh yes then there are those who don’t have abortion, many of guys who enjoyed process... turn out to dead beat dads.

What they don't mention, is the long term detrimental health effects of women being on hormonal contraceptive medication.

The sooner a female starts on it, the worse her peak bone density becomes. Peak bone density for females=age 21.

Peak bone density is an indicator for many other health outcomes in females.

Steroid use is socially frowned upon when men do it, but not when women do it. Yet they both have serious health implications.

And the pill makes women crazy. Fact.

And we can't maintain a population, gotta import replacements the mask the twisted market economy.

And there aren't any long term accurate studies to lend understanding to the externalized health complications of women taking contraceptive hormones. There's many biological reasons why one could hypothesize a negative effect to offspring...but it's so socially taboo and contrary to pharma interests to do so.
And the pharmacological cocktails whether hormonal or not all get *bleep* into the public water way.

I’d like a refund for all the years I paid for tampons and contraceptives since this is the route we’re going lol What happened to personal responsibility? Why am I paying for other people’s choices and a natural human function? Is toilet paper going to be ‘free’ Don’t get me started on ‘free’ tampons in men’s washrooms. It’s stupid where society has gone. Not to mention our tax dollars now are being paid $75,000 to anyone in the Federal government who wants to transition to a different gender. Don’t believe me? Research it. I’m tired of paying for ‘free’ stuff. It’s beyond ridiculous. Grow up. That’s life

Copper IUD's are non hormonal and covered. I had one for years between kids, worked great.

I'm glad the government has taken this step, it will make a difference in a lot of women's lives and let's remember women are taxpayers too. And over half the population.

I could see abortions' and birthrates dropping, but STD's? I would expect them to rise if people wrap it less and raw dog more while on other contraceptives.

Overall there isn't a huge downside I can visualize from providing this, seems for the most part a sensible progressive change.
