I wasn't going to bring it up, this is a large problem!!Mazdatruck wrote: ↑Mar 9th, 2023, 7:26 am I have to pay for eyeglasses but "sex for pleasure without responsibility for women" is covered by tax dollars.
Child care for unwanted babies dropped off at hospitals - covered by taxpayer as well.
Men still on the hook for every sperm they spew.
There are too many sperm spewers who don't take the financial responsibility of raising their own creations.
A good start would be, if you are one of them a vasectomy should be ordered! Or a whack or the old penis with a sharp can lid.

Wages garnished, you don't get to not pay, unless the women leaves the man's name off the birth certificate.Ken7 wrote: ↑Mar 14th, 2023, 8:57 am I wasn't going to bring it up, this is a large problem!!

Yes, women who give up their babies for adoption and let taxpayers pony up should be forced to pay.Ken7 wrote: ↑Mar 14th, 2023, 8:57 amI wasn't going to bring it up, this is a large problem!!Mazdatruck wrote: ↑Mar 9th, 2023, 7:26 am I have to pay for eyeglasses but "sex for pleasure without responsibility for women" is covered by tax dollars.

What is the equivent of "You should have kept it in your pants", for women?
Women on planet earth choose who they mate with. Women have all the control. Men compete to mate and women chose who they lay down with.
We hold men responsible for the choices that women ultimately make.

Men and women have an equity when it comes to the decision to sleep with someone ... but there is definitely not equity in the responsibility for the outcome ...Mazdatruck wrote: ↑Mar 16th, 2023, 1:57 pm What is the equivent of "You should have kept it in your pants", for women?

I tend to agree.Mazdatruck wrote: ↑Mar 16th, 2023, 1:57 pm We hold men responsible for the choices that women ultimately make.
A women has all of the decisions available to her that a man has, plus the ability/decision to abort and/or use additional contraception. Yet the expectation is that the man is equally responsible despite much of the decision being up to the women only.
To truly make things "fair" the father should have a say in abortion as well. I would like to see men given the ability to waive their responsibilities toward a child if they indicate they'd like an abortion. Either that, or make it such that the father must agree to an abortion instead of just the mother. Simply put, it's not right to make it 100% the women's decision to abort and expect the father to live with the consequences of that decision. Either the father should get a say or he should be waived from the consequences. "It's my body" doesn't trump "It's my future".

Only if you agree to take it. I want to see how you feel about it after a year of taking female hormones so you don't get pregnant.Glacier wrote: ↑Feb 28th, 2023, 5:31 pm BC becomes the first province to cover contraception... https://www.castanet.net/news/BC/413759 ... ion#413759
But not all forms. Those who don't want to mess up their hormones and use condoms instead are SOL. This bill must be sponsored by Big Pharma. Free clot shots for all.
Speaking of which, I identify as a woman, so that means I can get a prescription for female contraception!

Bumped up
I suspect birth control users should be able to go through their Doctor for a Special Authority to receive birth control of their choice.

We're all dying to know, Glacier. Where did you insert the IUD?

More importantly;
Has it worked for you?
Did it hurt much?
(an IUD can be inserted anywhere, even in a public washroom)

The man makes the decision to not wear a condom. The man makes a decision to sleep with a woman. The woman agrees. That does not mean the woman made a decision to get pregnant.Mazdatruck wrote: ↑Mar 16th, 2023, 1:57 pm

It takes two to make a baby. If a man is there at the conception and did nothing to prevent it he should be equally responsible.
Even if he did everything to prevent it. He is equally responsible.

Re: "Free" Contraception
Women decide who they sleep with. Men do not.
Human males on planet earth do not decide. They may desire to mate, but they have no choice.
Laws are very clear about this. If a man wants to mate and a woman does not, that's called rape. Due to a male humans biology it is a very rare occurrence where a female can rape a man.
The male human sing songs, wear bright attractive clothes, perform feats of strength and has to pass various tests put out by the female human before mating occurs. Humans males have quite a colourful and exciting mating ritual! The human female chooses her mate and lays down with him if the male can convince the female they are a suitable mate.
Think of it like a job application.
The female is employer and the male is the canidate.
The human male has no say whether the human female kills the offspring or not. If the human female decides to keep the offspring and reject the father, the father will be held responsible for this choice that the woman is making. That's not equality by any definition. He is equally responsible.
