Re: Three years after...Dr. Henry weeps
As I posted elsewhere, I think it must be difficult to let go of the mandate for healthcare workers as it would put bad light on authorities who fired them in a time of great need for them.rustled wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 2:21 pmI agree there was significant cruelty. Cruel is the best word to describe what was done to a lot of people by the liars who profited financially.
Felony Joly went to the Munich Security Conference and said "Canadians mental health is something I'm looking at"
But she said - get this - our winters here are cold in January and February - that causes mental health problems.
What weird and cruel people we have governing us. No wonder Bonnie is weeping - she's weird. And cruel.

It seems to me many were unmindful of some of the harms done, and some will be grappling with their part in it. Wondering if they were too quick to submit to pressures, too ready to take information at face value, to quick to share bad advice, too willing to overlook the cruelty of what they were doing "for the greater good", etc.
IMO, not one of us would want to be in their shoes.
Does make one wonder, though, why any of them would continue to maintain mandates despite knowing what we know now.
By keeping the mandate in place, they keep hold the position of doing the 'right thing' at the time.

Yes, that may be the "thinking" behind it. It seems to me, though, they are doing more damage to their credibility by dragging it out and - worse - suggesting they may make it permanent.77TA wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 2:35 pmAs I posted elsewhere, I think it must be difficult to let go of the mandate for healthcare workers as it would put bad light on authorities who fired them in a time of great need for them.rustled wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 2:21 pm

Re: Three years after...Dr. Henry weeps
Yes, very true. Of course more than healthcare workers were affected. I lost time with my Mom in LTC. After the fact, we still wear masks despite them being near useless. Many times there is no control over visiting family, yet we won't hire healthcare workers back.rustled wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 1:23 pm It's not just the healthcare workers. Many of us lost a great deal of income during the pandemic because of mandates and measures - and worse, we lost precious time with people who needed our presence, time we can never recoup. The very few people who made decisions that cost many of us so dearly are unlikely ever to be held accountable.
That is what I suspect, we did the same thing as the UK. There were no real benefit/risk discussions, and for the most part, the risks and benefits of actions, and vaccines are unknown. Once Governments resort to using models, you can tell they have focused away from the complicated, time-consuming real science, to use an inaccurate tool people don't know how to dispute.rustled wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 1:23 pm I found it interesting that when the Telegraph went through the emails of one of "the few" making decisions for the UK, there was no real discussion of risk/benefit, no real consideration of whether or not the harms done by the mandates they imposed were genuinely necessary. I suspect the same was true here in BC, where the few people responsible for doing the right thing during the pandemic failed to seriously consider whether or not what they were doing to us with their mandates was actually necessary.

Well, you have more sympathy for her than I do. lol. She should begin making smarter decisions today. Doubling-down and/or not listening to 'the deplorables', lashing out at reprehensible doctors, the Government is your only source of truth, infinite booster toting, and thirsty for power and control as the left usually is. Provincial response seemed to follow partisan lines. Thankfully for the most part, I have avoided a lot of the hassles, except for my mom.rustled wrote: ↑Mar 15th, 2023, 1:23 pm I have some sympathy for Bonnie Henry, though. It's not often people in that position have to weigh the long-term consequences of socially and economically destructive mandates against mandates that might save lives.
IMO she was among the health authorities who panicked because people were dying from a "new" virus, and failed to think seriously about the implications of what they were doing as precautionary measures - and then doubled down to avoid admitting overreactions that were doing more harm than necessary. It's human nature not to want to admit having got it wrong, and having done harm to people "for the greater good" - especially when it becomes evident some of those harms were not necessary after all.
And yes, the negative implications for public health in BC will be with us for a long time to come.

Hopefully Dix, Henry and their "families" suffer when the time comes that they need medical attention because of their ignorance to not bring the 2500 TRAINED Healthcare Workers back.
What do you call it...........oh right.........."saving face" is a PRIORITY for them over the people of B.C. that demand better healthcare at a time when it is going downhill.

Re: Three years after...Dr. Henry weeps
We all have the benefit of hindsight to dissect what took place.
We faced an unprecedented in modern times event for which we were understandably ill prepared.
Similar but different being the Coq was not built for atmospheric river events.
Times are different, whether is be climate, health (opiate addiction, viruses) or invaders (Putin).
Life has been relatively easy for the past 75 years thanks to the generations that came before us.
When COVID arrived, no one knew what to do accept to try and stop the spread, then immunize and carry on.
Has our respective governments (I have four countries to contend with) not taken the extreme and draconian measures they did, the spread would have been much worse.
However, many millions were caught in the crossfire, business loss, job loss, kids sports cancelled, university cancelled.
The suicide, financial, divorce and mental health fallout is untold.
At the end of the day I remain firm in the belief that Horgan, Dix and Henry did what they firmly believed was best for the majority, not all, but more than half and I thank them for their service.
A non -partisan study of the whole COVID response is important so that we learn for the next time something like this happens, which it will.

kids sports cancelled? University cancelled?

An experimental untested concoction that Albert Bourla said would take five years before we know what it'll do, was shoved into 30 million people unnecessarily, and Dix&Henry are committing a crime, shoving it into more people as we speak, and they know it's no good. They just can not resist money - you know that. You know how wonderful money is. It should be banned right now.
At the end of the day, we could have done what Africa did, and not get the vaccine but we are a big pharma vax-crazy country.
We love vaccines - in fact 30% of us get a flu vaccine each year. (always subtract 10% from official numbers to get the real numbers) when the chances of getting the flu are only one in ten years - that's a bad deal.
At the end of the day, most people will ask for and beg for more vaccines, so Dix and Henry will provide it.

^ malpractice
Children 5 and older will be invited to get a booster dose six months after their second dose.
^ that is the crime BC government is doing as we speak.
Bonnie you are fired. And charged with malpractice. So that you can weep for real.

The tears will swell much larger after the general public learns of the damage inflicted upon otherwise healthy Canadian children who were forced into mass vaccination campaigns conducted under the guise of Liberal $cience.
Thank Tam, Trudeau, Henry and Dix. They deserve it.

Otherwise healthy? Are they no longer healthy? That's a disgusting claim if it's fake. Where is your proof kids are unhealthy after being vaccinated?raft-cove wrote: ↑Mar 23rd, 2023, 5:12 pm The tears will swell much larger after the general public learns of the damage inflicted upon otherwise healthy Canadian children who were forced into mass vaccination campaigns conducted under the guise of Liberal $cience.

We need trials that will be shown live on national television and internet streaming. Trials where Justin, Theresa Tam, Dix, and Bon Bon Henry all face stiff sentences for their crimes against humanity. And confiscation of their wealth that they accrued in their time fleecing the Canadian public. You'll see a lot more weeping from these wrong-doers.

Months... How far along are the vaccines? Go back to the flat earth forum. In the few short years that thalidomide was available, it's estimated that over 10,000 babies were affected by the drug worldwide. Around half died within months of being born. The thalidomide babies who survived and their families live with the effects of the drug.
