Re: BC Election 2024
Has a lot ever changed since this thread was first started … eby the self-appointed tyrant that got a competitor out of the leadership race is losing the plot … the rebranded B.C. liberals who are still liberals aren’t being trusted … using the legal system as a weapon such as the health professions and occupations act against health care professions and the attack on the independence of the legal profession are well known and not liked …. Even the ndp’s budget that will increase total debt by 65% that eby and his gang of political thugs don’t want you to care about is not a good selling point for the 2024 election …

Re: BC Election 2024
There's only one way to stop the NDP in this next election. The United and the Conservative party somehow need to pull together.
Either they merge or possibly some elected United MLAs need to defect to the Conservatives and then other members will follow. That's not easy, politically it could be suicidal but it's the best way.
I don't think a merger would be acceptable by Falcon. "Stuff it" would be his polite response. He's the main reason the United are sinking, he has baggage, besides, his pride won't allow it. But if Falcon, as well as other elected United members really care about British Columbia, they'll do it.

They don't have to do a merger.
All they have to do is withdraw candidates in ridings to retain the higher polling BCU or BCC candidate.

Yeah that would work as well, then if both parties have a combined total of more seats then the NDP, they can both form the government.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Apr 25th, 2024, 8:52 pm They don't have to do a merger.

But I see Falcon as the problem. Too much pride/arrogance.

Re: BC Election 2024
It s the Lefts new ideology they seem so committed too that every move they make upon this country is somehow influenced, guided and then a complete failure.
Everyone needs to stay as far away from it as possible if we want a better future, for all of us, equally.
Falcon is far left and his claim to being a new party with thoughts and thinking of being centre is a complete political move to regain support that has been reservable lost.

Re: BC Election 2024
Well looky here.
A new poll is showing the BC Conservatives ahead of the BC NDP for the first time.
The poll published Friday by Mainstreet Research is a unique one and tested two scenarios. A group of responders were queried using the BC United brand while another group were asked the ballot question using BC Liberal, the party’s former name.
The results from both versions were combined together, putting the BC Conservatives on top with 38.9% of respondents, followed by the BC NDP at 36.2%, BC United at 15.3% and BC Greens at 6.7%.

Re: BC Election 2024

I just saw that. Wow, and I'll bet the main reason is that people are fleeing the destructive NDP. Their obsessive desire to kill baby the drug users, their unbelievable desire to turn British Columbia into one huge Indian reserve. People aren't that stupid. All we can hope for is more truth from the media.
And the best thing we can do if we have a United MLA is contact that person, plead with them to do the right thing for British Columbia.
I've contacted my MLA. Have you?

Did Eby see this and then run to have a press conference about banning drug use in public places. lol. Just a week ago he's making media appearances stating how well things are working....then now flips back again.

Totally backpedaling because of the upcoming election. Trying to look like they’re doing something to fix the problem they created. Typical NDP/Liberal move. Eby gets his playbook from Trudeau/Singh and that is very apparent.

Re: BC Election 2024
this new poll with the Conservatives in the lead is so obviously a plant by the Conservatives. It's on a Friday to grab attention on the weekend. Castanet should be ashamed of themselves for falling to such a scam by reprinting it. Good journalism has left the building.

What came first the poll numbers or Eby backtracking on drug legalization? Cause and effect perhaps?bob vernon wrote: ↑Apr 26th, 2024, 2:50 pm his new poll with the Conservatives in the lead is so obviously a plant by the Conservatives. When you see something not leaning your way then hurry and throw out a disclaimer with a conspiracy theory. The fact is conservative leanings are sweeping the entire world , not just Canada .bob vernon wrote: ↑Apr 26th, 2024, 2:50 pm this new poll with the Conservatives in the lead is so obviously a plant by the Conservatives.
