No lessons being given, even if I didn't say what you are alluding. It was your comment. As has been mentioned, a lesser comments was enough to get someone fired for saying under the guise of racism. You don't think your comment was racist, given the definition provided to you, that's on you. But remember, you were the only one who brought racism into the discussion.Drip_Torch wrote: ↑Nov 22nd, 2024, 11:08 am
Thanks, but I'm not going to take any lessons on racism from someone that sees everyone that speaks English in the world as part of the English ethnic group.
"Linguistic racism is defined as the mistreatment, devaluation, and acts of discrimination towards people based on their language use or perceptions about their ethnicities"
Using the language we are writing to devalue what we are writing. Because of how high we can hear tones I guess right?Drip_Torch wrote: ↑Nov 15th, 2024, 4:48 pm
Guo Ding is an award winning journalist, amongst other things, in Vancouver, BC. In English we don't commonly refer to people last name first and first name last. So why is it, all you English speaking people, writing in English, about a Canadian living in Vancouver are using a Chinese convention?
Is it possible you're all hearing foreign interference by expressing his name that way, and maybe I'm just not capable of hearing tones that high? That would certainly explain why I can't see anything "foreign" or "interference" in this story you keep trying to push.

Former BC Green Party Leader, Andrew Weaver

Re: BC Election 2024
I can see what he says but remember Weaver was so stupid he joined up with horrible Horgan who dumped him like the bonehead he is in the 2020 election and got a majority and the wreaked on the province … it’s the kind of stuff that happens when people don’t look at the people they’re electing and instead choose options like parties over people …Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Dec 16th, 2024, 5:52 am Former BC Green Party Leader, Andrew Weaver

Re: BC Election 2024
And thank goodness for that. It's bad enough the Greens found two ridings with enough stupid people to elect them, but if they actually had any power it would be far worse.Gone_Fishin wrote: ↑Dec 16th, 2024, 5:52 am Former BC Green Party Leader, Andrew Weaver

Apparently Conservative Party of BC leader John Rustad will be breaking information today about the BC election and potential anomalies and discrepancies found after the investigation.
