It’s pointless to vote for the BCUP. Much as the Greens can only draw votes from the NDP, Falcon’s Folly just puts water in the wine of Rustad’s Conservatives. B.C. needs a return to political sanity, something neither the NDP or the laughably-badly renamed B.C. Liberal Party are offering.

Falcon was after a self-serving agreement that would have guaranteed that the Conservatives could not form a majority government, a betrayal of the province’s best interests.

Rustad phoned Falcon awhile ago to discuss a merger, and Falcon replied, "F*** Off."

LOL, the BCUNT (BC United Party) really deserves to die.

Adam Pankratz: BC United killed its electoral chances by rejecting conservatism

There are those who believe that, with no more Ringling Brothers or P.T. Barnum around, the circus is dead. These people have clearly never cast their gaze in the direction of British Columbia politics, where every day brings forth new highwire acts, clowns and exotic animals.

The most recent attraction is the spectacular collapse of BC United and the meteoric rise of the BC Conservatives, who are now polling in a statistical dead heat with the NDP. The dynamic has convulsed B.C. politics and raised the possibility of a merger with BC United or a confrontation with the NDP, but either way, the provincial election in October is shaping up to be a showdown almost no one saw coming.
First, a brief history how we got here.

BC United was known as the BC Liberal Party, until the name was changed about a year ago. The BC Liberals, a coalition of federal conservatives and blue liberals, had been in government from 2001 to 2017 and indeed won a plurality of seats in 2017. However, they ultimately lost the legislature, as the Green Party supported the NDP to form government. The BC Liberal fall was then quick: in 2020, John Horgan and the NDP wiped the floor with them, securing a strong majority.

Tired of Castanet pushing BC United as a "Right Wing" party, they are the former Liberal party and the party that brought carbon tax to BC, pretty underhanded but that's what Canadian mainstream medias do, pushing a false narrative.

BC Liberal parties have been right of center for some time now, bearing little resemblance to the Federal Liberals in terms of policy.

I suspect the name change had more to do about getting away from the Gordon Campbell/Christy Clark era of the party.

The fact remains that the vote will be split.
Dammit.
More NDP.

I'm beginning to wish for a law that allows only 2 PARTIES.
Even though I know what a mess they face south of the border.

Your joking right? And the reason one would ever believe just because of a name change they get to deflect from their ownership, principals and platforms of far left behaviors and beliefs that established them for years. Its one of the most pathetic attempts ever at hiding from themselves. Hopefully citizens are not that stupid and they will be held accountable for who they are .
the term liberal is reserved for one side of politics', far left.
And thats exactly what they are trying to hide from.

Not really that far left, that is reserved for ndp along with the greens.
Wasn’t it Gordon Campbell who called his party the Free Enterprise Party.

I like the emergence of the Conservative Party. Perhaps, they should join ranks with BC United. That would be an instant end to the NDP plague.

everyone in BC has to band together to ensure that evil NDP is kicked into the political dustbin of history. Full of Jewish hatred, full of bad ideas, full of arrogance and full of stupidity, the NDP are flaming hot garbage, and genuinely full of truly disgusting people.

47% of BC will be voting against the NDP who poll at 39%, the conservatives poll at 35% one thing is for sure the
corrupt NDP will not form a majority even if they win.
