Re: Deceivin' Stephen prorogues the gov't.
nibs is an extreme leftie??? Whoda thunk it ;-)
But in all fairness, many (most?) of the folk who are expressing outrage at PM Harper's prorogue haven't been around in Canada long enough to know much about our political history, or even how our parliamentary system works. And that particularly goes for MR. IGNATIEFF.
And those who have been around long enough either weren't paying attention, ...or prefer not to mention it as it doesn't fit their current left wing agenda.

Bottom line is prorogue-ing should only be used in very special and very rare occasions, even the anarchists can agree to that, as should the

Richard, sent that one to the CBC. But they will never publish that. Good one. As I heard on the radio, its much to do about not very much. Guess was not the CBC...and why do we keep the CBC anyway?

How and when are we going to do that ???
Vote Harper Conservatives. After all, they are about the closest thing we have as a modern centrist party federally at the moment since the Liberals ran to the extreme left to join Layton and May under Dion ;-)

The problem isn't the number of times Parliament has been prorouged it's the reason. Many people see this as a political move, not a government efficiency move. If it's political I think it's bogus.
And as a side note, you guys are mean.

It would be a lot less mean if folks (like you sometimes steven) cut out the childish insults and focused on the issues.

The conservatives are moving hard and fast towards the center, but in my opinion this is due to the desire to remain in power. They cannot survive the Canadian political climate with entirely right wing ideas, especially with a current minority. They are picking and choosing the hard right bills on what they can get away with (tough crime bills get votes for any party).

as much as a load of crap as that statement is - what should Harper try to be - an Obama wannabe? So we too can have a $1.6 trillion deficit this year? So ridiculous.
