"Driving Ban Needs to go Further"
Our concern is that it's not at all addressing the real issue of distracted driving. You're not paying attention to what you're doing when you're engaged in a conversation.
Are you *bleep*ing kidding me? These guys must be smokin' some good stuff. Exactly how is it that they expect to justify this by saying when you're engaged in conversation you're more likely to have an accident? What's next? Ban passengers? 1 person cars?
GET REAL! I am in full support of banning anything that takes your attention off the road but anyone who can't drive and talk shouldn't be driving in the first place, this is just pathetic.

Passengers scream when you run a red, the person on the other end of the phone conversation remains mysteriously oblivious to that for some reason. Get used to it, guaranteed that law will arrive some day. Some cities in Canada already have it.

That total phone ban. The cold cruel cold turkey. No phones while driving, hands free or otherwise. The thing they said would never happen. It's happened already, just not everywhere yet.

Just because something is "law" doesn't mean it is completely just.
I does, however, make a convenient hiding place for sheeple.

once some of these laws have started to be enacted, the police and the politicians must look elsewhere to enact new laws in order to keep the public under control....
eventually the insurance companies, will be investigating whether or not you were adjusting your radio or perhaps talking to the person in the seat beside you.....and using that to deny your insurance claims......
I don't believe a lot of it has to do with safety.........it has to do with control of the people by the police and the government......
