Hutton. So as a prison guard you don't mind at all handling all those aids cases then? Is it not a concern for you or your colleagues? As well as hep a , b, and c?
Your not concerned at all for health care staff that have to deal as well? I posted a snippet of the occurences of accidental exposure previously.
And most importantly would you still bE sayng things like above if your daughter said to you I'm hooked, have no resources to help me get straight and now I have hep c?
You agreed that it reaches all aspects of society but apparently don't want stop the spread of this scourge.

Lol on the contrary, it is you who don't get it. It's obvious you can't respond to my queries and even more so no comprehension of the issue.

I could spell out my point of view for you AGAIN, but it would do no good as you wouldn't be able to read it due to the massive amounts of blood spewing from your bleeding liberal heart. Have you finished writing cheques for the crackheads, since you seem like you want to buy them there drugs now tooo. Hey if your such a good samaratian why don't you volunteer some of your time and go down there and inject it for them to.
I am starting to wonder, so sensative to the plight of the crackhead, there must be more to the story.

It's sad that the terrible act of dealing with someone else's addiction cannot be understood until it strikes close to home. People have trouble seeing problems outside of themselves.

Yes Bananaz, that is right, ALL THE SUFFERING in the world is at the hands of people like me, people who DON'T belive we should pour billions of OUR dollars into a tiny fraction of the population who have f*&%ed up their own lives, are NOT contributors to society or it's greater good, are nothing but a social and finacial drain on our nation. People like me who DON'T believe we should be constantly running around picking up the pieces and wiping the a$$e$ of people who made repeated choices that have led to there own demise. People like me who believe that the millions/billions spent on the hopeless could be better spent on worthwhile social programs that actually make a differance in the world. Oh well I can live with that, for it will be the PEOPLE like 'whatthe' that will be the death of this great nation.

What were we thinking? We should be putting all our money to treat the saints like Hutton.

Addicts have the opportunity to get help in recovering from their addiction before they die and become participating and contributing members of society (have seen it happen many times). Children get to have their parents back (have seen it happen many times) and not repeat the cycle after ending up in underfunded and under-resourced Ministry care. Helps the kids. Helps us.

How many insite centres are there in Prince Rupert?

None - and in the smaller more rural communities the generational cycle of addiction, welfare dependence, poverty, marginalization and crime are definitely more "in your face" obvious. Especially to those of us working in the criminal justice system ("hey, I knew your father"). I guess that's why we get so sick and frustrated with continually pursuing conservatism and the status quo. At what point do we realize what we have been doing isn't working, and stop thinking that continually pursuing the same strategies (eg. punishing addicts and marginalized persons) is somehow one day going to produce different results (definition of insanity)?
