These boys and their families can certainly use all the prayers they can get.

Can't possibly think of a worse scenario than for a bus to be T-Boned by a tractor trailer.

Here's to hoping casualties stay at a minimum, and the others recuperate as quickly as possible.

I was just at the fb site watching the live news conference. Thousands of offers of prayers and condolences are pouring in by the second in the comments section.

This is so tragic words hardly fit. No one really knows much right now, the conference was mainly, "when we know more..." and I'm sure the night will be dark and long for many. Words fail me.

To the families and community and friends and hockey world, this is Canada's greatest loss, that of our youth, so bright and full of life and future hope.

This is a parents worst nightmare come to reality. I can only imagine what the families, players, friends and all those involved with the Humboldt Broncos are going through right now. This is such a tragic event that has shaken the hockey world.

The RCMP confirmed 14 fatalities and 14 injuries in a collision involving a junior hockey team's bus in Saskatchewan on Friday, with rescue efforts ongoing late into the evening.

Police say there were 28 people on the bus at the time of the crash, including the driver. Three of the injuries are critical in nature. RCMP would not confirm whether the deceased were players or coaches as they work with partner agencies to notify and support families.

No sense assuming all the deceased are from one town until names and town/cities are released. The team includes players from Edmonton, Slave Lake and Airdrie in Alberta and from Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The intersection is blocked by trees on the SE quadrant. The bus was travelling northbound and the truck westbound. They would have not seen each other until just before the intersection. Highway 35 is 100kmh speed limit. If you look at the google maps link you will notice 5 crosses on the side of the road. 3 large and 2 small. Seems there may have already been a tragedy at this same intersection.
