He was appointed to Minister of Border Security and Organized Crime Reduction on July 18, 2018 (new ministry created by Trudeau as we need more govt in his socialist world) and it didn't take Blair long to learn the Socialist LIB 'how to stretch the truth' gobbledy gook talk (or straight out lying).

I would like to pay the “majority” of my taxes this year... Using this new Liberal math, which apparently defines 1/80th as a “majority.”

The saddest part about the Liberal government is that they have brought lying to the public into Canadian politics with a magnitude and to a degree that would make Donald Trump blush... Between this and the pure fabrication of evidence in the firearms “discussion” (meaning the distribution of lies by the Liberals on a wholesale basis), there is unfortunately nothing the Liberals say that can be trusted at this point. This is the legacy of the Liberals and Justin Trudeau: gross deceit and a breach of trust between the government of Canada and the people.

The whole immigration issue, especially the illegal entries, are to be shrouded in mystery and obfuscation, aided and abetted by JTs appointees.

Don't hold your breath too long. It doesn't much matter which party is in power. They are all lying B**t**ds!

Unfortunately, our political system is all we have to keep us from ending up like Syria, Iraq and other 3rd world countries.

Imperfect as it may be, the people still have options to cast ballots. This process of being able to fire the idiots en-mass is all we have to keep them from at least sticking it "all they way in", as one would say.

I can't emphasis how important voting is. I hear all the time of people saying "I Don't Vote", like they are involved in some kind of silent protest, when in fact they are disrespecting the people that fought and died so that we can keep that honour.

We have a responsibility to vote out those who are not doing their jobs for the betterment of the country and the people as a whole.

There is an old saying - "use it or lose it". Voting is as close to a democracy as you can get, providing the process is honest in it's own right.

It isn't perfect, but it's all we have to at least keep them somewhat on guard, knowing that if they goof up, they lose the one fetish they crave more than anything - "Power".

We need to bring the "Power" back to the people - it is we who decide on who is to manage OUR affairs and keep US safe and competitive in the world market.

What we do lack is the ability to fire them mid-term before they do irreparable damage.

How can a minister continue to collect his salary (our money) when he obviously has no idea what is going on.

My brother is a Canadian citizen who is returning to Canada after living in the US since 1961. His attempts to get recognized by the Federal government has been a nightmare as every department is too busy to look after a Canadian.

Refugees get more money per month than the Old Age Security payment any long time taxpaying Senior gets.

I guess Seniors do not make as good a photo op for the drama teacher as a refugee.

At the same time, all politicians at all levels are the same. Get elected, serve the party not your constituents, and collect a golden pension after just six years. Boy, if I could start over again......

CSM, as usual, you make good points and up until a few years ago that was my thinking as well. Get out and vote, you are responsible for the future, exercise your democratic choice.

Things have changed and so have I personally.

I haven't cast ballots lately simply because I have a social and moral conscience.

If your choices are between Mussolini, Hitler and Mao (using stark example here) who do you vote FOR?
