The defence team for Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou has filed a notice of civil claim alleging "serious violations" of her constitutional rights.

https://www.castanet.net/edition/news-s ... htm#250601

Sorry, I've never understood how a citizen of a foreign country has "constitutional rights" in Canada, but they do.

Perhaps she has the constitutional right to housed back in jail, awaiting her extradition hearings instead of living in her Vancouver mansion.

I believe in the next couple of weeks she will be gone,
Monitor cut off and dodge the security and on a private jet back to China.
Sort of like how Saudi Arabia does it.

Trudeau had no choice hold her for extradition. After all we are a country of laws and politicians should not interfere. However, having said that, what the heck was he thinking when he and the rest of his cohorts interfered with our attorney-general. You can't have it both ways. And he's waiting for the ethics commissioner to see who is telling the truth. Isn't that a politically correct way to say she is lying?

China has arrested one of their own just because he has Canadian citizenship. That'll teach us. Their hate-on for Canada is growing, and I personally don't mind at this time. I've been screwed by China way too many times to care. One day their jade fist will crack.

Whatever we think of US politics today, it's short lived and we they are the ones we should work with , screw China if we're put in the position to choose.

And now because of her, China has pulled the permit on the Canola going there. Hitting our farmers hard now. Retaliation. I say oops her monitor came off and let her get on that jet plane out of here, and don't come back.

Trudeau needs to just abandon this righteous "rule of law" nonsense and do the right thing. We have Canadians being arrested in China on bogus charges and prairie farmers will lose millions because of lost canola sales. A real Prime Minister, like Harper, would have been on the phone to a judge in BC and explained that the judge sits on the bench at the pleasure of the crown and that the job could evaporate out from under him. Along with the gold-plated pension if he didn't do the right thing.

Put that Wang woman on a plane to Peking immediatley and end this madness.

:200: you mean, Harper would have interfered politically ???
All of those people that still say Hillary lost the 2016 US election despite winning the popular vote - I expect you all to rip up
your Conservative party membership forms today, and stop whining about the idea Andrew Scheer will ever be PM of Canada.
