I do not believe this is a coincidence. I don't think for a moment anyone does. This is payback - even though we did not just grab a Chinese person and trump (excuse the pun) up a charge against them. We lawfully arrested someone at the request of an extradition partner. It would appear China, on the other hand, may have just nabbed two prominent Canadians on the pretense of having evidence of wrongdoing to show us what the "severe consequences" could be.
I have never been a fan of doing anything with China - not buying their goods, not partnering with them on anything. They don't play by the same rules we do and things can get very nasty very quickly.
I think we need to pull back on any import/export deals with China in any great measure. Lets deal with Japan or other countries. China doesn't play fair, or reputably.
