Wild food to ease hunger

This is a good step in the right direction, but as the provided photo shows, it's not only meat that needs to be made more affordable. I doubt that dairy farming would be possible up there, but what about greenhouses in which to grow fruits and vegetables?

I read an article not that long ago about that being tried successfully.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?
Apparently "Robin Hood All Purpose" was the wrong answer!

And they need to do more of that. Another thought.......they gather a lot of wild fruits, herbs and such during the summer months. Why not gather extra and freeze or can it for winter consumption?

Why is it, with the eco warriors, it’s always “they should” and not”I’m going to”?

I toured this one in Inuvik 10 years ago, they turned their old hockey/ curling arena into a greenhouse.

What makes you think that’s not already happening, keep in mind however that 100% of all the electricity in Canada’s far north communities to power the freezers, is generated from greenhouse gas spewing diesel generators..
The exception being the community freezer in Tuktoyaktuk which is room carved out of the earth buried under 12 feet of permafrost. I also visited that site 10 years ago.

Cheaper and far healthier than the high carb, high sugar crap diet that is causing all the obesity and diabetes the Inuit are dealing with now.
Flying a chicken. loaf of bread, or bottle of milk up to Inuvik or Tuk is crazy expensive.
Two essential strategies for success.
