Re: Pricey legal pot
So you add government administration costs, taxes, retail infrastructure, and people complain that it is more expensive than a black market old-time dealer? Seriously? That’s even a valid question or comment?
You can buy beer and wine cheaper from a guy who makes it in his garage too, or make it yourself.
Sew your own clothes. The list is endless, but for many people, the ability to drive up to a store and pay a few bucks for decent weed is pretty convenient.

Someone mentioned in another thread that in Denver CO., it's $65 ounce retail.
That would mean were are paying 4-5 times more up here.
Anyone bought weed in Colorado?

But not when you factor in the exchange.

Re: Pricey legal pot
Shares of weed producers are starting their inevitable downward slide. There are far too many producers in this field. The legalization of weed has been pretty much a non-event. We don't have the predicted (by some nay-sayers) of dealers on the corner of every school yard.

And now the marketplace is revealing that there is far too much capacity to produce weed. In the state of Oregon for example, the state estimates that there is now enough weed in warehouses to supply the state for 6 to 7 years. All these growers with massive greenhouses will be growing vegetables in a year or two. Did I invest anything in weed companies? No.
