Uh-oh.

The Liberal talking point around Norway's model of climate leader/oil producer is dashed. Norway says, "We're gonna pump more and more oil, and the climate fairy tale can be put aside."

Now what? Poor Trudeau! His darling has dumped him on his sorry butt!

This really isn't surprising, because all parties except the childish Conservatives are showing they can work well with and support Trudeau.

Trudeau easily survives vote

Justin Trudeau's minority Liberal government has easily survived its first confidence test of the new parliamentary session with the help of the Bloc Québécois and the NDP.

A Conservative amendment to last month's throne speech was defeated by a vote of 215-117.

Had the amendment passed, it would have been considered a defeat of the government and could have triggered another election, less than three months after the last election handed Trudeau a second consecutive minority.

There was little suspense over Monday evening's vote; Bloc Leader Yves-François Blanchet had signalled immediately after the throne speech that his party would support what he called "24 pages of completely empty words."

The brief speech basically recapped the Liberals' election promises for finishing the fight against COVID-19 and rebuilding a more resilient, greener and more inclusive economy.

While NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has panned the throne speech, New Democrats could not support the proposed Conservative amendment, which criticized the government for failing "to adequately address critical issues that threaten the prosperity of Canadians."

The Conservative amendment specified that those issues include inflation, a "stagnant" economy, a housing affordability crisis, an "acute" labour shortage and a "national unity crisis."

The House of Commons must still decide whether to accept the throne speech as written, which will be another confidence vote.

Trudeau has done so much to help Canadian families, including $10 a day childcare. It's no wonder he's won 3 elections in a row!
Trudeau, Higgs promise $10-a-day child care across New Brunswick within next 5 years

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs revealed details of a child-care agreement that will see the price drop in 2022, and $10-a-day child care available across the province within the next five years.

Higgs said at a briefing Monday that families will see 50 per cent reduction in child-care fees by the end of 2022. That means on average families could see around $3,000 in savings.

This also comes with the goal of reaching an average of $10 per day by 2025/26.

You'd think the conservatives would learn that spreading malicious lies about their political opponents does not fly in Canada. It only panders to the hateful, extreme wing of the party and makes the whole gang look stupid by association. It also has a boy-who-cried-wolf effect...and they wonder why no one worries too much about Trudeau's real blunders, compared to all the ridiculous crap he gets accused of day in and day out, the stuff he's actually done that we all think is boneheaded is harmless.
