On the topic of Morneau (being discussed elsewhere?), why is Mark Carney advising Trudeau on finances? Don't we already have a financial "expert" in Morneau? Isn't that Morneau's job?

My enthusiasm is tempered by the likelihood Morneau is taking it for the team so the team can avoid dealing with the rot. Again.

And Morneau was out of touch and intentionally opaque, but at least he had some ability with finances. Let's hope we don't end up with someone worse.

Good point Rustled. Imagine a mouth-breathing imbecile like Catherine McKenna as the next finance minister? Or a bonehead like Trudeau boot-licker Seamus O'Reagan? I didn't want to see Morneau go. It was obvious who had to go, our disgusting PM. But we all know he has no integrity whatsoever. So Bill had to take the hit.
