What could Canadian taxpayers get for that $1.2 BILLION if CBC disappeared?

It would pay the salaries of 13,000 RNs.
It would pay the equivalent of every person's income tax in the city of Nanaimo.

CBC has 143 directors.
They each earn over $130,000 annually.
Since 2015 CBC has given out $153 MILLION in bonuses and raises.

We can't afford the CBC. Canada's debt is growing by almost $400 MILLION daily.

Journalists should not be paid by the government. It is a conflict of interest.

If you love CBC, pay for it yourself. Don't put the average Canadian on the hook for it.

The researchers make a solid case. The show is mostly showing white men and dangerous sharks. They can continue to do as they wish but media coverage this negative will have an effect on viewership. The leadership and example set by our current prime minister has many in our society focused on inclusion.
